Motorola adds “Powered by Android” with latest boot services update

As we've mentioned in the past, Motorola is able to push frequent updates given they have released many of the core service apps in the Play Store. One of those happens to be the Motorola Boot Services app, and as Motorola has done before -- they are having a bit of fun with this latest update. Those with a Moto X or Moto G will want to make sure this update has been installed and then reboot their device.

Moto G helps bring Motorola 6% market share in UK

Motorola, who have seen a downward trend in recent years, have risen once again. This time, their European market share is showing promise, as they’ve been found to have a 6% market share in the UK. While their recent Moto X flagship altered the way many think of Android devices, it seems their mid-tier Moto G is to thank for the European uptick.

Motorola updates their Assist app and Active Notifications feature

Motorola is updating a few things today, with both the Assist app and their Active Display seeing tweaks. Both are features we use pretty regularly on our Moto devices, with Active Display being one of the most unique twists we’ve seen in a long time. Updating both brings needed tweaks, but nothing much in the way of “new” features.

CyanogenMod nightly build arrives for the Moto G

Moto G users now have an official CyanogenMod option available. This one is a nightly, and currently available for select Moto G models. Specifically, the folks at Cyanogen have released this nightly build for the XT1031, XT1032, and XT1034 model numbers. Basically, the single-SIM retail versions of the Moto G.
