Opera for Android exits beta, we go hands on
Opera launched the WebKit based browser for Android earlier in the year and at the time, the app was sporting a beta tag. Well, flash forward till today and another Opera browser update has arrived for Android users and this time around the browser has ditched the beta tag. Basically, while this release and these features are now ready for prime time, this update should look and feel familiar for those who had been using the beta.

Chrome gaining a foothold on Android devices
On desktops, Chrome is far and away one of the more popular browsers, but on mobile, it has taken a while to find its footing. Well, according to a new report from Net Applications, Chrome is finally getting a decent amount of usage on Android devices. For iOS, the usage is still negligible, but at least Android users are moving over to Chrome. It shows Google's efforts with the browser were not a waste of time.

Google Rolls Street View Out To Mobile Browsers

Google Rolls Street View Out To Mobile Browsers
Google is officially rolling Street View out to mobile browsers everywhere. Just like on a computer, Street View allows you to get a view of what places around the world look like if you were standing right there. With the feature on mobile browsers, users can see what it would like to stand somewhere while they are actually standing there. Google offers some interesting suggestions for using Street View on a mobile browser. They suggest using it to get a feel for the ambience of a restaurant before you arrive or checking out a new shop across town to see if it's worth the treck. There is also the time-killing aspect of checking out locations you may never get a chance to visit in real life. Using Google Street View in your browser could not be much easier. Users simply point their mobile browser to maps.google.com and click the little stick man on the bottom of the screen. From there, users simply slide their finger around the screen to change the exact area in which they look. Users can also use Street View to get more information on a location such as Google+ local pages, interior panoramas, and photos shared by other Google users. I checked out the web app on my device, and it worked exactly as advertised. Let us know in the comments if you checked it out on your mobile device.

Mozilla teases something BIG coming to Firefox next week
The team behind Firefox has taken to Twitter this evening to tease us that something "BIG" is coming to Android next week and that we should stay tuned.
