LG Optimus Is Now Rooted

There hasn’t been much coverage on this device since it’s not available here in the US. It may never make it over here but in Europe (mainly France) this is a very popular handset. It has been rooted by none other than Paul aka Modaco.

Last week we let you know that there may be a new Walkman by Sony in the works. Today a leaked picture of what could be the new Android powered walkman has surfaced. The rumor said the device will look similar to an X10 Mini and the device in the picture fits that description.

Movistar unveils the Ivy, a low-cost Android 2.1 phone with Huawei

While most of us wait in anticipation for the 2.1 OTA, a low-end device emerges with it preinstalled. Movistar, in partnership with Huawei, has launched a low-cost Android-powered handset called the Ivy. The Movistar IVY comes with the usual Google apps and is expected to launch shortly in Europe. .

Altek Leo 14MP Android with HD video and optical zoom?

Ok I’ll be the first to say it, all these high megapixel cameras on cell phones are ridiculous and I love it. Altek announced the first 14 megapixel camera phone, it’s called the Leo and it could come equipped with Android. If this does in fact turn out to be an Android phone, it will without a doubt have the best camera available on any Android device, maybe even the best camera on any phone in general.

Boost Mobile’s pre-paid Android-powered Motorola i1

Correct me if I’m wrong but, Boost Mobile will bring to the market the first pre-paid Android device.   Up until now every Android device we’ve seen has been tied to a carrier that doesn’t allow you to use it as a prepaid cell phone. Hopefully this device will be a success and we will start to see Android handsets available on more pre paid companies.

Viliv has manufactured many different types of PMP’s and Mp3 players. This rendition has the ability to run Android as well as Windows CE. This media player has a beautiful screen and can run Android 2.1. The only thing missing so far is a release date and price.

Samsung Galaxy 5 Spotted in The Wild

Samsung has another Android device in the works, the Galaxy 5 or the GT-I5500 will be hitting the streets soon. This little device packs in Android 2.1 along with a few other features. This device hasn’t really been covered much with all the excitement around the EVO and the Galaxy S so it may be something new for most of you out there.

LG Ally Details Galore And a Verizon Pre-Order Date

Some internal documents were leaked recently to the guys over at BGR. These documents contained all sorts of information on the upcoming LG Ally. We now know that it’s coming to Verizon and pre-orders will start this May 13th. This phone will also bring with it a few alterations to Android.

SlashGear Reviews Spring Design Alex

The Spring Design Alex looks to take on the big names in the eReader world with their latest Android powered eBook. The guys over at Slashgear put together a nice in-depth review of this device. The Alex can be yours for a price tag of $399. This is a nice device but I’m not sure if this is worth the aforementioned price even with its specs and their partnership with Borders.
