A Hearty Thanks to our Street Team, Business Contacts, and Close Friends [CTIA 2011]

Let me tell you, Android Community, and I mean that like you, all of you out there that came up to us during this convention over the past couple days to either give us a tip, ask us which phone we were using as a primary, or just to say hi: we love you! I shouldn't really call you a street team at the moment since technically you're not taking stickers of ours and pasting them on stop signs - but perhaps soon! We've had a great time meeting ALL of you here in Florida and hope to meet up with you again soon!

Android Community at CTIA Wireless 2011

Android Community is hard at work at CTIA Wireless 2011, the annual mobile confab which this year is in Orlando, Florida. We're expecting a ton of wireless news including stories on Android phones and even more tablets. In fact, news has already been leaked that AT&T is bringing the Nexus S 4G, with it's pure Google Android experience, to mobile customers this year along with the LG Thrill 4G and HTC HD7S.

CTIA 2011 [Full Preview and Anticipation Guide]

When I write this post, I am literally on an airplane flying from Minneapolis International Airport down to Orlando Florida where I and several compatriots of mine representing both Android Community and SlashGear will be having a fabulous time walking around CTIA 2011 in addition to listening in on some keynote speeches by the heads of this mobile industry in the USA. The following guide will show you what we expect to see this year at the Orange County Convention Center from groups like HTC, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and heck, maybe even a little Nokia since the rumors of them keeping Android in mind while they roll out with Windows Phone 7 in the meantime. But what about Motorola?

Sprint Event Hinting at 3D Android Phone?

Just a few days ago (January 12th to be exact,) we received an invite to a Sprint event to be taking place on February 7, 2011 that promised no less that an "industry first" in wireless, this event to be joined by illusionist David Blaine. Now we may have (MAYBE) put the puzzle pieces together in an older post (old as in November 2010) which pointed toward an HTC phone with 3D capabilities.

Google Holiday Party Invites Sent to Members of the Media

Oh joyous day, a Google party! What will they have, candy? Cookies? Eggnog? Wait a moment - what holiday-themed Google-related treasure is due to be released in the very near future? Maybe they WILL have cookies - of the Gingerbread variety? On the other hand, take heed of that "off the record" comment there in the line about informality in this invite. That might mean it's just all hugs and apple cider. Either way, fun!
