Mad Catz CEO Darren Richardson began teasing the MOJO back in June. At the time he referred to the system as an "Android micro console" and while we later learned this would be the latest Android powered game console, the price and availability details weren't revealed until much later. We saw those in October, and as was promised -- the Mad Catz MOJO console has arrived for purchase.

NVIDIA rolled out an update for the SHIELD a short time back. That one brought the system up to Android 4.3 and while that was a nice aspect, there were several other important aspects to the update. One of those others was something called GameStream. In the case of the NVIDIA SHIELD, GameStream mode means users can stream PC game to the handheld console.
Chromecast, supporting apps like Netflix can stream content from your Android device. Rumors of Android TV have yet to pan out. Miracast is lost in the shuffle, seemingly defeated by the advent of Google’s $35 dongle. Then there is Android gaming, a sector that has just started taking shape, and is seeing rapid expansion.

Mad Catz began showing off the MOJO game console back in June, during E3. The system appears to be arriving as a competitor to the OUYA, however given the processor we cannot help but make the comparison to the NVIDIA SHIELD. While not a portable device like the SHIELD, the MOJO console will be arriving with an NVIDIA Tegra 4 T40S 1.8GHz processor. And in a bit of good news for those who may have been waiting -- the price has been revealed and pre-orders are now available.
