Samsung Galaxy Note Review [AT&T]
Many questions come to mind with the Galaxy Note. Is it too big? Is the stylus S-Pen necessary? Is the screen real estate worth the loss of portability and more. I've been using it for about a week and have some thoughts regarding these questions. With a huge and vibrant 5.3" Super AMOLED HD display and a dual-core processor this thing should be amazing -- and it is. The biggest concern for many is probably the screen size so we'll dive into that and more with our full review below.

Android Community Evening Wrap-Up: February 16, 2012
Today we had a handful of stories that deserved to be rehashed to make sure those of you that missed them the first time. First up, a rumor surfaced that Android 5.0 'Jelly Bean' could be due in 2nd quarter of this year. The term 'Jelly Bean' hasn't even been confirmed, so take this with a grain of salt. However, sources claim Google is hinting for its hardware partners to consider it for new tablets and notebooks.

AT&T is finally starting to expand its 4G LTE market to improve coverage for the many capable devices it plans on releasing throughout 2012. Of these, the Samsung Galaxy Note and Nokia Lumia 900 are soon on their way; the Note's release date is only 3 days away.

HTC catches a break: Velocity likely to be first LTE Android phone in Europe
News from HTC has been mostly gloom and doom as of late, after some poor 2011 results and gloomy Q1 2012 predictions. But today the struggling manufacturer finally gets a bit of good PR: it'll be the first to launch an Android phone with an LTE connection in Europe. The Unwired reports that the HTC Velocity (better known to US Android enthusiasts as the Vivid) will launch on Vodafone Germany soon, making a milestone for the currently small LTE options on mainland Europe.

Rumors have been flying for a couple of months that Verizon is set to introduce LTE phones with world roaming capabilities any time now. But according to the practical experimentation of one XDA Developers member, the HTC Rezound already has this ability, somewhat hidden. When "i rule 123" disabled the 4G LTE radio on his Resound, he noticed a new option for a Global mode. He popped in a T-Mobile UK SIM card, and lo and behold, it both made and received calls - no hacking required.

Motorola DROID 3 now only $99 from Verizon
Motorola and Verizon have been on a role as of late and while this is an awesome deal, I have a feeling a few recent buyers might not be too happy about the new pricing. With the new DROID 4 just announced Verizon looks ready to start clearing the shelves of the older 3G version because they are now offering it at a great price.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus modification will change your softkeys and their color
For Galaxy Nexus owners that just picked up their device from Verizon, you may finally have a reason to root your device. Yes, rooting does void your warranty - but it opens a world of new available features. Even though Verizon’s Nexus is fairly new, development has been progressing at an excellent rate. We recently discussed a battery mod compatible with the Android Revolution HD ROM for the Galaxy Nexus, and now there is a softkey mod that adds a “Search” softkey pictured as a magnifying glass to the right of the bottom menu buttons.

HTC Fireball, LG Spectrum could be Verizon’s first LTE world phones
Americans get a lot of cool stuff before the rest of the world, but phones that play nice with international networks is not one of them. Verizon customers in particular have a lot of frustration to deal with, since the CDMA network is totally useless almost everywhere else in the world. There are a smattering of globally operable phones on Verizon, including the DROID 2 Global, DROID 3 and the Incredible 2. But so far there haven't been any global-ready smartphones that take advantage of Verizon's LTE network. According to some leaked internal documentation from Droid Life, that may soon change with phones from HTC and LG.
