LG Lucid 2 smartphone review
Verizon Wireless has had the LG Lucid available for some time now. Coming as a follow-up, the carrier has recently released the Lucid 2, which has landed in the mid-range lineup as a budget friendly device. The LG Lucid 2 brings 4G LTE connectivity along with a 4.3-inch display and relatively slim design. Perhaps nicer for some, the handset is available for free on a two-year agreement and has a wide variety of additional accessories. With that being said, we have recently spent some time with the handset and have a bit to say about the device -- so, read on to see if this is one you should consider or simply ignore.

LG officially unveiled the Optimus F7 during Mobile World Congress. We then later saw the handset released as the Optimus LTE III in Korea, however otherwise, release news for the F7 has remained on the quiet side. And well, while we have yet to see anything official, rumors suggest Boost Mobile will soon be launching the handset.

LG Optimus G Pro headed to AT&T in May
Last year LG released a powerhouse smartphone the Optimus G for AT&T and a few other carriers, and it was quite successful. Now just a few short months later it looks like they are already set to one-up the smartphone as their recently announced Optimus G Pro with a massive 5.5-inch 1080p display is rumored to be headed to AT&T next month.

LG planning retail store expansion in emerging markets
LG is ready to begin a retail store expansion. The company currently has roughly 3,000 retail locations and they look to increase this by 20 percent this year. These retail shops, dubbed LG brand shops will be popping up in emerging markets to include India, the Middle East and Africa. These shops will be showing a variety of LG products including everything from smartphones and televisions to home appliances.

We had recently began hearing reports of an update from those sporting an LG Optimus G with AT&T, however as of today, that update has been officially announced. The update is bringing Jelly Bean and is rolling-out as of today, April 4. Those with an Optimus G will be getting Android 4.1.2 along with a few additional perks.

LG has officially released the Optimus G Pro for those in Japan. The handset will be available by way of NTT DoCoMo and while we have seen plenty on this particular smartphone, this one is arriving with a slightly different display. You see, instead of the 5.5-inch display, the NTT DoCoMo variant will have a 5-inch display. While smaller, the display is still Full HD in resolution.

Verizon Wireless announces the free on-contract LG Lucid 2
Coming off the recent rumors, Verizon Wireless and LG have announced the upcoming availability of the Lucid 2 smartphone. As the rumor was calling for, the LG Lucid 2 will be available beginning on April 4. The one catch with that, the April 4 availability is by way of the Verizon Wireless website. The handset will not be available in the retail stores for a few weeks.

Details about the LG Lucid 2 have begun to surface. Looking back to last week and we were hearing details about how the LG Optimus F5 was going to arrive with Verizon Wireless as the Lucid 2. As of today though, it looks like some additional details have surfaced. In fact, assuming these rumors prove accurate, the one bit we are left wondering about will be the price.

We often see benchmark filings for handsets that are expected, or for those that happened to have been previously rumored. As of today however we have one that appears to be somewhat of a mystery device. The handset is shown as the LG D801 and so far, we have yet to see any images. In fact, aside from a few small details coming from the filing, the LG D801 is mostly a mystery. That said, based on what we have seen -- it is a mystery we are interested in seeing the outcome of.

It has come to attention that the folks from Google and LG have begun shipping new Nexus 4 smartphones with a few subtle design changes, but changes for the better. Apparently a new batch of devices are shipping as we speak to customers, and they have a few tweaks to improve the hardware and prevent scratching. Check out the image below.
