I know, I know, all the news out of CyanogenMod seems to be about the Ice Cream Sandwich-based CyanogenMod 9. But CyanogenMod 7 (gingerbread) is still going strong, and many a satisfied user is running the latest nightly on his or her smartphone. Following in the footsteps of some Sony Ericsson phones last week, a handful of LG models are getting official nightly support from the CyanogenMod team. The LG Optimus 3D, Optimus Pro, Optimus Hub, Optimus Black and the LG Thrill will all be getting nightly ROMs while CM7 is still in active development.

LG Optimus 3D CyanogenMod 7 Alpha now available
In what developers are calling "Almost CyanogenMod" the LG Optimus 3D has just received the first alpha build for CM7. Available right now for users to flash and enjoy all the treats that the developers of CyanogenMod bring to our devices. The Optimus 3D is also known as the AT&T LG Thrill 4G and this should work across both device models.

LG Optimus Note Official as dual-core Tegra 2-packing slider [Video]
While this isn't the first time LG has come correct with a dual-core smartphone, it's certainly the first time they've done so with a slide-out keyboard. With their lineup including such gems as the LG G2x, the LG G-Slate, and the Optimus 3D (aka the Thrill 4G), you'd think LG was the king of dual core. Here they prove their willingness to go strange with what may well be the device that makes their NVIDIA Tegra 2 to Qualcomm dual-core processor ratio go from 2-to-1 to 3-to-1 in an instant. Are you looking to bypass the other dual-core QWERTY slider on the block, the Droid 3? Here you go - LG Optimus Note!

LG has been talking 3D lately and we are now getting a few hints that they are already working on the successor to their recently released LG Optimus 3D known as the LG Thrill 4G on AT&T. You can see our full review here. Along with keeping up with any faster processors and other manufacture offerings they also plan to make the Optimus 3D 2 ultra-thin.

Well folks, we still haven't seen any sort of official announcement or press release regarding the LG Thrill 4G also known as the Optimus 3D but today AT&T has confirmed the launch date for September 4th just as previous leaks suggested. While it has been delayed more than a few times at least it will hit the market with a great price.

LG Thrill 4G Appears in Target Ad, Listed at just $79
We aren't really sure what AT&T and LG are doing with the LG Thrill 4G (or Thrill 3D) or whatever they are calling this phone, but we are seeing that awesome $79.99 sale price appearing again. The LG Thrill 4G was originally known as the Optimus 3D and you can see our review here. The Thrill 4G was supposed to launch on August 7th over at RadioShack and was even advertized by AT&T for $99 coming early August.

LG Thrill 4G From AT&T Gets Delayed Again?
The LG Thrill 4G is that glasses-free 3D smartphone headed to AT&T early August, or late August, and now reports are saying sometime in September. Yes it has been delayed yet again after initial reports and statements claimed it would launch at the beginning of August. We later heard right from AT&T it was headed to market in the "coming weeks" but sadly that isn't happening either.

LG Thrill 3D Shows Up in Best Buy Ad
The LG Thrill 4G is their latest entry into the Android world headed for AT&T. The phone is a glasses-free 3D powerhouse much like the EVO 3D and I've always wondered why they didn't include the term 3D in the title for the device. Although it was recently delayed til late August a new Best Buy ad showed up making us think it may end up launching sooner.
