LG Revolution Review

Welcome to the Revolution! This is LG's newest effort for Verizon, the LG Revolution running on their 4G LTE network. This device features a 4.3-inch 480 x 800 pixel resolution TFT display and a single core Snapdragon MSM8655 1GHz processor, connecting with Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI, DNLA, and it's got Netflix! That this is one of the most important draws to the device makes us wary of it. But behold, this is an LG phone and we've been rolling out with some rather impressive LG phones as of late. The LG Optimus 3D and the T-Mobile G2x were pretty excellent, how does the LG Revolution add up?

Netflix Streaming Demo on LG Revolution

So the LG Revolution is out on Verizon, and wouldn't you know it, it's got Netflix on it standard. That means it's on it right out of the box. This is a joyous announcement for all those wishing to use their Netflix accounts to stream over HDMI from their Android phones, a thing that most certainly was not a possibility in the past. So how does it look? This is a question you'll be asking once you realize how awesome it could be to have Netflix on your LG Revolution - thusly we've got a demo for you.

Netflix App Updated to now support Motorola Droid, other phones working too [Update]

It looks like Netflix has just updated the app for Android, it now supports the original Motorola Droid, the G'zOne Commando from Casio, as well as the LG Revolution that just started shipping with Netflix pre-installed. Earlier in May Netflix launched for Android but only with a few devices supported so it is good to see an update come so fast to support additional devices.

LG Revolution Hands-On and Unboxing

As you may have heard this morning, the LG Revolution is official and it's got both a release date (May 26th, 2011) and a price ($249.99 with new 2-year contract and data plan) on Verizon wireless. And it's running on 4G LTE! Well wouldn't you also know it - we just happened to have gotten this device in the mail today for review! It's come in the same package as the Xperia PLAY (which you can also order now from Verizon) and it's got a box that reminds us instantly of a couple of other related items - the HTC ThunderBolt and the LG Optimus 3D. Brand coincidence? No way! Let's have a peek at this device and sneak around its insides!

LG Revolution May 26 Launch with Netflix, Froyo, and LTE

Have a peek at this, one official looking two-sided sheet showing off basically everything you could possibly want to know about the brand new LG Revolution. This device will launch on the 26th of May right next to both the DROIDX2 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY - which one will you choose? We're hoping to catch em all. This device will be only the third Android device to work with Verizon's 4G LTE network and the first selection from LG. And it's in all black instead of the silver we saw back at CES.

Verizon launching the Droid X2, LG Revolution & HTC Trophy May 12th?

Summer is coming and it looks like Verizon plans to make it a big one as usual, with what seems to be an explosion of some Android powered goodness all at the same time. Can you say dual-core, err i mean 4G LTE. Verizon may be planning just that. It might not be the same day, but there is also talk of the Xperia play hitting two weeks later on May 26th. This sounds a bit like T-Mobiles April 20th launch of the G2x, G-Slate, and Sidekick 4G all on the same day. Maybe Verizon liked that idea.

LG Optimus Big launches in Korea, we want some in the U.S.

You may or may not remember this device named the LG Big, but we sure do. It looks like a great phone, we mentioned it back in March and it looked good then, and even better now it is launching. With that 4.3" NOVA IPS Display, 16GB built-in storage and all those other specs we have grown to love on our Android phones, this surely looks nice.
