Verizon Wireless details upcoming LG Revolution update
Those still sporting an LG Revolution with Verizon Wireless have an update on the way. This may not be the most exciting of updates, however it does bring one item that we suspect most users will be happy to see. Not to mention, it also removes some of the bloatware that was originally pre-installed. With that in mind, lets get into what Revolution users can expect to see.

LG Revolution gets updated Gingerbread release
Let's get this right out of the way: Verizon's latest release for the LG Revolution is not, repeat not, Ice Cream Sandwich. There, we're done. That being said, there's quite a bit of new stuff in the latest update, and Revolution owners who are still on the stock software will want to upgrade immediately. Build VS910zV9 brings some important security fixes along with the usual speed and stability improvements.

Motorola DROID 3 and LG Revolution reaching Verizon’s end of life
We know that at least a few of you have been patiently waiting for the DROID 4 - gotta have that high-powered QWERTY action. The latest internal Verizon leak seems to imply a February release date, and that's corroborated by an upcoming end-of-life status for the Motorola DROID 4. An anonymous source told The Verge that the last DROID 3 units would be shipped to Verizon this month, along with the LG Revolution. Take that for what it's worth, but Verizon probably wouldn't stop selling a major player in the DROID line without having something ready to take its place soon.

LG Spectrum leaks again, press image and full specs included
The LG Spectrum might be better known as the Revolution 2 or the device that will replace the original Revolution. We've seen it a few times in the past and earlier this week actual images of the device were leaked online. Obviously being the bigger brother to the Revolution we have Verizon 4G LTE and more on board but this latest leak confirms all the specs.

Spiffy red DROID Incredible 2 is free for Black Friday, plus other deals
Nothing says "holidays" like a maniacally staring robot eye. Maybe that's just me. In any case, the DROID Incredible 2 is getting tarted up in ruby red, and Verizon customers can pick one up for free with some very specific Black Friday deals. The Incredible 2 and other phones are going on-sale starting on November 24th.

Verizon rolls out Gingerbread OTA update for the LG Revolution
The LG Revolution hit Verizon back in May, and contrary to the manufacturer's suggestion, life was not good for Android fans eager for a taste of Gingerbread. Verizon is now pushing out the Android 2.3 update across its network with the standard upgrades and bug fixes. For the record, the Revolution is getting the update a mere 10 months after the Gingerbread source code was released, and five months after it hit the market with Froyo.
