Target Deals Include $20 Inspire 4G, $450 Iconia Tab A500, and $179 Optimus V
Now here's a little story, I've got to tell, about three neat devices you know so well. It started way back in review history with Optimus, Iconia, and the Inspire 4G. They had a little sale at Target on all three, each and every one of them was nearly free. Price reduced, money strangle hold loose, and it's time to appease your Android sweet tooth. A500, Optimus V, and HTC is the place to be - if you've got money then come on down, Target will trade you without even a frown.

LG Optimus V Review [On the Go Android!]
Before we begin, let me direct you back to a review I conducted some months ago on a very similar telephone by the name of LG Optimus U. This is essentially the same piece of hardware with a slightly different set of apps, costing a different price and having a different carrier. Comparing the two would be an exercise in futility because this isn't the sort of phone you decide on first, then figure out what carrier you want later. This is the kind of phone you find while you're shopping for a new phone on a carrier you trust. Who would buy such a phone? What uses are there for such a phone as this? Would I use this phone? Let's talk.

Samsung Gem Officially Announced on U.S. Cellular
Today we've been sent some exciting news for those of you who love diamond shapes as home keys - that's right! It's the Samsung Gem, announced by Samsung Mobile and U.S. Cellular today, set to be released in stores and online starting on April 1st. This phone will feature a 3.2-inch touchscreen with "advanced anti-scratch, anti-smudge and anti-reflective protective glass." Sounds fancy! Samsung Gem carries Android 2.2 Froyo out of the gate, with no word on updates to Gingerbread.

LG Optimus V Hands-On and Unboxing [SUPER CUTE!]
Take a peek at this, an Android phone that's basically free, runs Android 2.2.1, and wont take up more than a tiny wallet's worth of space in your pocket. This is the LG Optimus V, the other-toned relative of the LG Optimus U which we've already taken a look at a few months ago. This phone is surprisingly similar, it's hardware essentially exactly the same save for the coloring (this one's black where that one's blue,) with a spiffy new box made to be sold off the shelves in stores all day long.

LG Optimus V Valentines Root
The lovers phone, LG Optimus V, the one we'll be getting our hands on very soon indeed, has already received its own root job. This phone is a Virgin Mobile exclusive, is the latest phone in the mid-tier Optimus family, and is apparently very easy to hack into. The method used to root this device is the same one that's worked on previous Optimus machines, notably the Optimus One and Sprint's Optimus S. That method is SuperOneClick.

LG Optimus V – Official Announcement for Valentines Day
The LG Optimus line just got a little bigger with an official announcement of the LG Optimus V, a higher-end-of-entry-level Android phone priced at $149.99 and set to release on Valentines Day through Virgin Mobile. Details available to us now include a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 3G and Wifi capable, 3.2 megapixel camera, video, and we're gonna send out a wild guess and say that it'll have Android 2.2 Froyo. If it's anything like it's brother LG Optimus U, it'll be a nice little phone that zips around fast as you'd expect a phone in this price range to do so. More than likely this phone will end up being free on contract sooner than later.
