LG Optimus One to get Gingerbread in Spring
Thanks to an eager LG Fan's post on LG's Facebook page, we have learned that the LG Optimus One could get a Gingerbread update in the Spring. LG curiously chose the first day of Nokia World 2010 to launch their latest Android smartphones, the mid-tier LG Optimus One and LG Optimus Chic.  Each handset is based on Froyo, but brings the newest Android OS down to what are likely to be more affordable price points. The LG Optimus One has a 3.2-inch HVGA display and a 3-megapixel camera, WiFi, LG's own customized skin and an app which suggests possible downloads from the Android Market.  As for the LG Optimus Chic, that gets DLNA media streaming and cloud-backup of device settings.
