As part of the survey for its latest Beta wave, the service provider has added a few details for its plans to expand its Android offerings.

LG Optimus 2 spotted on LG website

The extremely popular and budget friendly LG Optimus made it to almost every carrier I can think of in some way, shape or form and was hugely popular. We are now seeing pictured and details of the Optimus 2 from LG right on their official site. Who is ready for another awesome budget device to take over the low-range market?

LG Ally and Vortex Getting Discontinued by Verizon

Not all phones are fortunate enough to have a long run at life such as the Nexus One or the original Motorola Droid. Phones get old, get replaced and eventually discontinued by carriers and it appears a few of those entry level LG phones on Verizon will soon be discontinued.

LG Optimus One to get Gingerbread in Spring

Thanks to an eager LG Fan's post on LG's Facebook page, we have learned that the LG Optimus One could get a Gingerbread update in the Spring. This is the first time that LG has placed an official date for a Gingerbread roll out. The date is subject to change, but the plan is to make it available in the Android Market but the end of May. Makes one wonder if LG is being cautious since there was trouble with an OTA update of Android 2.2 (Froyo) to the Galaxy S.
