LG Optimus 3D

LG Optimus 3D price and release dated

The LG Optimus 3D has been priced and dated, for the UK at least, after making its official debut at MWC 2011 this week. According to retailer Expansys, the 3D-capable smartphone will be £514.99 when it arrives, SIM-free and unlocked, on April 25. Of course, we're also expecting that price to come down considerably when subsidized by carriers. More details in our hands-on. [via Recombu]

LG Partners with YouTube for 3D sharing

LG has announced a partnership with YouTube to bring 3D sharing via the Optimus 3D to the popular online video portal's 3D channel. Optimus 3D users will be able to upload and share recorded videos to YouTube directly from their phones. Of course, viewers will need a special set of red/blue 3D glasses to watch them, but hey, it's 3D!

LG Optimus 3D [Hands-On and Demo]

LG has official announced the LG Optimus 3D and it's a doozie. This phone is a 3D-capable smartphone with a Texas Intruments 1GHz dual-core OMAP4 processor, a 5-megalixel dual-lens camera for 3D video and photo capture, and it's got a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display. On this screen you can view 2d (up to 1080p) and 3D (up to 720p) content all day long. We got our hands on one of these lovely phones here at Mobile World Congress 2011 and we're just a-rarin to show it to you in action.

LG Optimus Pad Hands-on

There are so many Honeycomb driven tablets coming out at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, that it's almost becoming ho-hum.  But SlashGear came across the LG Optimus Pad and found it surprisingly refreshing. But with it's glossy LED screen, that may not last long.

LG Optimus 3D gets official at MWC 2011

LG went all official with Optimus 3D at MWC 2011 today. The smartphone looks cool and it is 3D capable and has a dual lens 5MP camera on the back that can record 3D video. The smartphone runs a 1GHz OMAP4 processor and the display can show the 3D video recorded without the need for glasses.

LG Optimus 3D P920 Ad Spot – 3D Yoga Lady Demo [VIDEO]

We're awaiting the true experience when it comes to glasses-free 3D, waiting for it to give us something we never knew we needed but definitely need now, if you know what I'm talking about. Although Yoga isn't something that we'd guess many of the hardcore early-adopter crowd individuals are into, this commercial featuring a lady learning Yoga poses from what appears to be a miraculous display of third dimension graphics via the LG Optimus 3D has some definite potential for double-looks.

LG Optimus 3D video preview: “No longer just an idea”

LG's Optimus 3D continues to emerge in a steady drip of pre-MWC 2011 details, the latest being a render video that seemingly tallies with the leaked handset spotted last month. Pocket-lint's source sent them the footage, which shows a brief glimpse of the murky smartphone and some double-flashing action from the camera array on the rear. The video follows footage of LG's other 3D-toting Android device, the LG G-Tablet, which emerged earlier today. Unlike the G-Tablet, however, the Optimus 3D is expected to have a glasses-free 3D display which can show three-dimensional pictures without the silly specs. [youtube dnYeuTjAMig]

HTC Desire 2, Flyer, Pyramid, LG Optimus 3D, Star Tab Appear in Inventory Lists

Dear sneaky ninja photographers, thank you so very much for your help in finding ways for early adopters to get pumped up earlier than was ever possible before. That said, the photos you're about to lay eyes on, dear reader, were submitted to fonearena overnight, and they show no less than , , , , and a in various inventory lists. Although we trust fonearena to be tossing out trustable info, and they say this source has been good in the past, there's always the fact that these lists could quite easily have been replicated in any gridlike program for computing.

LG Optimus 3D headed to Vodafone and Three UK

UK networks Three and Vodafone have both confirmed that LG's Optimus 3D is on its way, though neither will admit to a release date. Vodafone's announcement was straightforward, with the carrier telling Electricpig that "it will come to Vodafone. As soon as it’s launched, we will bring it to the UK." Three was slightly more surreptitious, instead using Twitter to link to the promotional "Something big is coming" video which LG released earlier in the week. The Optimus 3D is expected to launch at MWC 2011 later this month complete with a 3D-capable display and a dual-camera array. [youtube AYb3EclvaMg]

LG Readying to ‘Rewrite History’ with the Optimus 3D

LG hasn't been a key player in the phone market for quite some time, but they fully expect to change that in 2011 with device launches such as the Optimus 2X and Optimus 3D. Not only are they entering the smartphone market; they're entering it aggressively. In a new teaser published by LG, they boast "The World's First Dual Core-Multi Channel" device that looks strikingly similar to the LG Optimus 3D we saw leaked last week.
