Nexus 4 wireless charging Orb launching in February

Google and LG's Nexus 4 has been available for sale for quite a while, even though users had a hard time getting the sold out handset. While we've been waiting for official accessories to arrive (and still waiting) some new details have surfaced showing that neat wireless charging orb could finally hit shelves next month. The Nexus 4 hasn't been an easy to get handset. In fact, it has been quite the opposite with inventory going quick and customers seeing out of stock messages more often then seeing in stock messages. And while both the T-Mobile and Google Play Store listings are currently showing the handset as out of stock -- that should soon be changing with T-Mobile.

LG Nexus 4 now available with Virgin Mobile UK

The LG Nexus 4 has come available with yet another UK based carrier. The latest is Virgin Mobile, which joins Three and O2. Of course, the Google Play Store also sells the Nexus 4 in the UK, however we all know how that is going at the moment -- out of stock. Simply put, if you are in the UK and looking for a Nexus 4, one of the carriers seems like your best bet.

We have some good news and bad news regarding LG and Google's popular Nexus 4 smartphone to share. We've been rather quiet regarding this entire "out of stock" situation, but seriously it's extremely sad and sort of pathetic to be completely honest. Google and LG seemingly have blown what could have been an awesome device and a top notch launch.

On Friday of last week we began seeing reports of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in-the-wild, and while we are still yet to see anything official from Google, we do have another sighting. And nicely done, this latest has arrived in video form. This video comes by way of the Czech language SmartMania.cz website which means we now have three markets where 4.2.2 has been spotted.

While most of the world is seeing Android 4.2.1 as the latest version of Jelly Bean, it looks like Google has quietly begun rolling out something a bit newer. According to new reports, Google has begun rolling out Android 4.2.2 in select countries. So far the reports are pinpointing just two countries -- Brazil and Malaysia.

We have seen the Nexus 4 bounce in, and out of an available status since the handset originally launched. Given that, one would assume that the Nexus 4 was either sold out due to overwhelming demand or that it was sold out due to LG not being able to have enough made. We have heard a bit from Google on this matter, but regardless of why, the Nexus 4 remains an often discussed device.

We are not all that sure what this means for Nexus 4 availability with the Google Play Store, however a leaked T-Mobile memo shows that the handset will soon be available with the carrier. In fact, according to details included in the memo -- the Nexus 4 will be available with all T-Mobile retail locations within a few weeks time.

LG Nexus 4 image surfaces showing a less-glittery back cover

It looks like LG may have made a slight change on the Nexus 4. A recently surfaced image is showing a Nexus 4 without the glittery back. But before anyone gets super worked up, the back is still glass and apparently the same in terms of build quality -- it is just not as sparkly.
