T-Mobile G2x Review
Welcome to Android Community's review of the T-Mobile G2x, T-Mobile's first dual-core device, LG's first dual-core device, and back when it when people called its very close relative the Optimus 2x, the first dual-core period. All that doesn't matter though because there this sassy little lady is, and it's bumpin. Over the past few days we've been putting this phone through some wild tests and real-world use tests, even playing some games on it, and here we've got the first big verdict.

T-Mobile G2x 8 megapixel Photo and 1080p Video Examples
You may have noticed that there's a bit of spreading out going on here with this T-Mobile G2x unit we've got here on Android Community. What's going on here is that we're taking a new approach since this is such a flagship device and we're putting a little bit more time into each test and example. Sometime in the next couple of days there'll be one comprehensive review post, but for now, bits everywhere! What this post consists of is a few photo examples and one 1080p video. Spoiler: they look pretty nice.

T-Mobile G2x In-Browser Benchmarks
What you're about to see is a few benchmarks, all of them conducted on the browser-based JavaScript benchmark system SunSpider. Inside the post I'll explain a bit better what SunSpider is for everyone who hasn't seen it before, but what you need to know from here is that we're testing both the stock browser and the newest version of Firefox (4) for Android. What you're going to see is the T-Mobile G2x by LG, the HTC ThunderBolt running on Verizon's LTE network, and the ATRIX 4G running on AT&T's HSPA+ network.

T-Mobile G2x vs HTC ThunderBolt vs ATRIX 4G vs Sidekick [Physical Comparisons]
We had an extra 5 minutes today, believe it or not, so a few photos were indeed fired off. What transpired here was a comparison photo shoot (with a few specs below too, if you'd like,) that compared the T-Mobile G2x to the Sidekick (just for fun,) then to the HTC ThunderBolt and the AT&T ATRIX 4G. Would you like to know which one is the thickest? It's the Sidekick - spoiler! Would you like to know which one looks the most awesome? That's something you're going to have to decide for yourself. This is an odd assortment you're not going to find anywhere else - I guarantee it.

T-Mobile G2x Hands-On and Unboxing [Video]
Oh my goodness look at this amazing smartphone right here. This is the same phone we got to have a brief hands-on with back at CTIA at the Hawaiian Luau aka Pepcom. Now we've been sent out very own in the mail and it's oh so sweet to behold. Inside you're going to find a Vanilla version of Android 2.2 Froyo (that meaning no mods from T-Mobile, just pure Googly goodness,) on the outside you're going to find front and back facing cameras including a fat 8 megapixel on the back - and smoothness. Simple designs breed simply awesome experiences, if I do say so myself.

T-Mobile LG G2x up for Pre-Order at Walmart for only $179
Looks like Walmart is at it again, trying to beat everyone with pre-orders and with pricing. Today they have started pre-orders for the LG G2x for $20 off the T-Mobile price of $199.99 with a new contract of course. Walmart has came out with the same pre-order at $179.99 but you better hurry, as it probably wont last long.

LG G2x next in line for CyanogenMod 7? I think so [Pics included]
In case you guys didn't know, the latest and greatest release of CyanogenMod 7 was just released tonight, you can read about that here. It has just reached the "stable" milestone so that basically means it is rock solid. For those that are worried about the AT&T-Mobile merger and what phone to get, or are wondering what Android is right for me. I have a clear choice for you, the LG G2x!

We already know pretty much all there is to know about the LG G2X smartphone. We have even spent some hands on time with the smartphone and offered you all the details to peruse at your leisure. If you missed that hands on the smartphone, the device has Android 2.2 onboard and will land sometime this spring.

Sidekick 4G Available at Radio Shack Same Day as LG G2x and the LG G-Slate
This must be an April Fool's joke coming in a day early. What carrier in their right mind, what carrier worth their salt, what carrier in the entire world would release three gigantically flagship-title-worthy devices on the same day? T-Mobile I suppose, that's who. Radio Shack has tweeted today that the brand new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will be coming out on April 20th, 2011.

LG Optimus 2x (aka T-Mo G2x) gets clockwork recovery already
Well well, it looks like the amazing Paul O'Brien from ModaCo has been busy with the new dual core device from LG. He has already done plenty on this phone but recently he has announced and shown pictures for a few exciting things. One being that Paul himself said the phone is a developer dream device. It is not locked down, and messed up like phones have been lately from both Motorola, and HTC. It is open, and free just like it should be and as Android was intended.
