LG Tablet in the works for Q3 this year
It looks like a new Android tablet could be on the horizon from the folks at LG. For those who haven't been around the world of Android for long, LG made a tablet way back in the day, but it wasn't too great. The LG G-Slate never received any support from the carrier, or the manufacturer, but now it might be time they dabble in that market again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 vs Motorola XOOM vs LG G-Slate
Which one of these things is not like the other - which one of them does not belong? Any lay-person looking at the three tablets in this odd stack up might say the Galaxy Tab 10.1 on account of its white color and custom-etched backing, but look at that little weirdo. The LG G-Slate is one of the latest dual-core tablets to be released in the USA and it's ever-so-slightly smaller than the other two here in this stack-up. It's also got a 3D camera. That's pretty weird. And what about that Motorola XOOM? It's what, several months old. Shouldn't it be extinct by now? Hardly. Behold this week's ultimate battle to the death, Google I/O 2011 style.

Mossberg reviews LG G-Slate says it’s not as good as iPad 2
The gadget godfather over at the Wall Street Journal is Walter Mossberg. This is a geek of a different color than us normal folks and one review good or bad from Mossberg can make or break a new product on the market. More than one bad review from Mossberg has heralded the demise of the dreams of sales glory for a manufacturer.

G2x and G-Slate Both Have IPS Display [CONFIRMED]
We've just received official word from LG that both the T-Mobile G2x and the G-Slate BOTH have IPS displays. There's been a bit of debate about this as of late, whether the display on these devices were simply TFT or if they amped it up a few notches to the more expensive and more fantastic in both color and viewing angles In-Plane Switching (IPS.) What does this mean, you might ask? Why should I give one hoot? Because now you know you can watch Tron: Legacy with the BRIGHT lights!

T-Mobile G-Slate gets $100 earlybird discount
It's said that good things come to those who wait. Well, sometimes it pays to jump in early. T-Mobile is offering a $100 discount on a two year contract when users purchase the LG G-Slate and data plan before April 27th. But there's a catch.

T-Mobile G Slate confirms launch date as April 20
T-Mobile has finally officially confirmed the launch date for the LG Slate. Although we recently reported that T-Mobile stores had the G Slate in the back of stores already, the official launch date for the Android 3 (Honeycomb) tablet has been confirmed for a nationwide release on April 20th. And it will sell for $529.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two year contract for current T-Mobile customers. That's about $50 cheaper than the Motorola XOOM and $200 cheaper than a comparable iPad 2.

G-Slate shows up early on eBay
A seller on eBay is listing the LG G-Slate with a starting bid of $800, Buy it now at $1200. By contrast, T-Mobile lists the G-Slate as selling for $529.99 with a two year data plan and after $100 mail-in rebate. The listing says that the G-Slate is in stock and will ship at auction's end. Sidekick 4G Available at Radio Shack Same Day as LG G2x and the LG G-Slate
This must be an April Fool's joke coming in a day early. What carrier in their right mind, what carrier worth their salt, what carrier in the entire world would release three gigantically flagship-title-worthy devices on the same day? T-Mobile I suppose, that's who. Radio Shack has tweeted today that the brand new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will be coming out on April 20th, 2011.
