T-Mobile has come forward with release details for a pair of LG smartphones. The devices include the G Flex and the Optimus F3Q, both of which will be arriving in February. Both devices will be readily available on February 5th, however those who had been waiting for the LG G Flex will be able to move forward with a pre-order as of today.

LG G Flex available for pre-order from AT&T later this month

AT&T has announced the LG G Flex is coming soon. For those interested in the curved smartphone, it will be available for pre-order on January 24th. We have the option of ordering in-store or online, and the pricing is as expected at $299.99 with a two year agreement. Gladly, this fulfills an LG promise that we'd see the device stateside in Q1 2014.

LG G Flex initial US availability detailed

LG announced the upcoming US availability of the G Flex earlier in the month during CES. At the time LG mentioned the handset would be coming available during the first quarter of the year and with three of the four major US carriers. Those three included AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. And as we often see with these types of device announcements, LG basically left everyone waiting for the individual carrier announcements for the specifics.

LG G Flex display flexing may lead to bumps

LG recently announced the G Flex would be arriving with several US carriers. But even outside the US market, the handset is still relatively new. The LG G Flex is a smartphone that sports a 6-inch curved display. And as suggested by the name, the display is also flexible.

LG G Flex will be available in the US, starting Q1 2014

If you’re interested in the LG G Flex, but are wondering when it will hit the US, your wait for information is over. LG has just announced their curved wonder will hit the US in Q1 2014, and available for thereof the big four carriers. Oddly, it excludes a big name player from the fray, but we don’t expect that to be the case long term.

LG says up to 40% of smartphones could be flexible by end of decade

At a recent press event in San Francisco, LG’s Ramchan Woo made some interesting remarks about the future of smartphones. When considering the remainder of this decade, Woo pontificates that it will close with up to 40% of smartphones emulating the G Flex. LG believes that flexible devices are the future, whether they be curved like the G Flex or completely foldable, like so many concepts and show floor devices we’ve seen lately.
