LG G Flex

The new LG G Flex commercial is creeping us out

I’ve got a theory about LG. I think they want to be the next Samsung. Their UX is bloated, and its girth is always increasing — just like TouchWiz. They have devices in just about every category and size, which is Samsung’s game. Now they’re making terrible, creepy commercials, too.

LG G Flex: going one-handed with the 6-inch display

We've spent a fair bit of time with the LG G Flex during the initial hands-on. We also shared our full review shortly after. But with that being said, the LG G Flex is a unique phone, and to be honest, it has been sort of hard to put down since the review has wrapped. To that point, there are some solid features, one of which is how LG is trying to make things a bit easier for one-handed use. Because, as many will realize, a phone with a 6-inch display cannot be described as small.

LG G Flex: using the multi-window feature

With larger devices like the LG G Flex, multi-window utility is an option many take advantage of. By splitting the screen in two (figuratively, we’re not cutting things in half, here), we can get a snippet of multiple things without having to navigate between apps. Fun and functional, some are still in the dark about how this all works, and why it’s one of the coolest features on the G Flex.

How to: Take a screenshot on the LG G flex

With the LG G Flex, the volume and power buttons are around back. Situated just under the camera, it makes for a disorienting experience until you get used to it. There are also those situations where you may think twice about how to do something simple, like take a screenshot. With LG’s newer devices, there are a few native ways to accomplish this, and some apps to consider as well.

LG G Flex review

The LG G Flex is officially stateside. Via AT&T, you can now pick one up, and enjoy the 6-inch curved OLED screen for yourself. If you’re curious about the curved device, you’re reading this review as a means to decide if it’s the right one for you. Certainly polarizing, the G Flex stands out in a crowd, but does it do so in the right way? We find out.

LG G-Flex hands-on and first impressions

The LG G Flex has arrived domestically, and we have our hands-on of the newest from LG. Curved, big, and oddly comfortable, the G Flex brings a new thinking to mobile. Our initial reaction is one of curiosity, but will the curve make a difference in how we use a smartphone?
