The rumor mill is spinning like crazy as we near the expected reveal date for Google's next Nexus device. But while we haven't really seen an actual Nexus 6 just yet, aside from two photos allegedly of the smartphone being used in the wild, some rather passionate fan has taken it up on himself to create a wooden model of the device to give others a more solid, pardon the pun, idea of what it might look like.

Rumored Samsung Galaxy A series to have LTE connectivity

As we reported late last week, it's been leaked that Samsung will be launching three new phones in the Galaxy A series line, slightly lower-end, probably non-metal versions of the recently-launched Galaxy Alpha. Now, more details have reportedly surfaced, and if they are to be believed, all three smartphones will have LTE connectivity, a must-have now for devices, but also not something that lower-end phones usually tout.

Possible new Motorola DROID seen in FCC, Verizon-bound

Fresh from the updraft of market love for its product launches at IFA 2014 – namely the Moto 360 and the new Moto X – a possible new Motorola device is headed towards US carrier Verizon, and could be a beast of a phone. The device was spotted in FCC documents with the code name “Quark” and from initial analysis of the docs could have wireless charging and turbo charging.

HTC planning to out a new smartphone, codename ‘EYE’

Gadget leaker @upleaks has come up with news from HTC – one of the major players in the smartphone market that has been relatively quiet in comparison to all who took part in the IFA 2014 gadget rush. But according to the leak, they may be coming up with a new gadget, codenamed the “HTC Eye”.

Brazilian retailer comes out with new Moto X+1 listings

The website of Brazilian retailer Livraria Logos is becoming notorious for its Moto X+1 leaks, which – if you’ve been living without Internet for the past few months – is of course the code name for the new Motorola flagship device. The new Moto X listings are back on their website though, giving us at least decent info about the new device.

New leaked photo shows Samsung Galaxy Alpha full specs

As the anticipation continues to build for the official release of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, expected to be announced by August 13, we’re getting a clearer picture of what to expect from the rumoured high-end smartphone (well, if the leaks are to be trusted, that is). New images have appeared on a Brazilian website showing what is supposedly the official marketing material for the Alpha, and it looks like previous leaks got it right.

The rumored high-end smartphone is being positioned as the outright rival of another soon-to-be-released phone, Apple’s iPhone 6. New photos as well as User Agent profiles on Samsung’s website have been leaked, giving credence to those rumors and getting people even more excited about the newest member of the Samsung family.
