HTC: Bluetooth low-energy is coming soon, but it’s not Android 4.3 features

This weekend a couple details and reports have surfaced regarding "breaking new features of Android 4.3" that were leaked by the folks over at HTC. In fact, there's been way more than a few reports of these "leaked features." Those being Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) and OpenGL ES 3.0 both by HTC. We're going to learn more about both from HTC in a public developer meet-up in San Francisco during Google I/O, but they aren't Android 4.3 features.

Samsung GALAXY S 4 firmware leaks begin

With the GALAXY S 4 release sitting rather close, the official firmware leaks seem to have begun. The first of these leaks includes the firmware for the GT-I9500. This particular leak is for version I9500ZCUAMDG and it includes the firmware along with the kernel and necessary Odin files. Basically, everything you would need.

LG Optimus F7 tipped for release with Boost Mobile

LG officially unveiled the Optimus F7 during Mobile World Congress. We then later saw the handset released as the Optimus LTE III in Korea, however otherwise, release news for the F7 has remained on the quiet side. And well, while we have yet to see anything official, rumors suggest Boost Mobile will soon be launching the handset.

Huawei Ascend G700 images leak

The specs are still at a minimum, however we are now being given a rather clear look at the Huawei Ascend G700 smartphone. The images are offering a look at the front and back and appear to be the press shots. Huawei has yet to offer any official details on this particular handset and so far what we are seeing is coming by way of leaks.

Huawei Ascend Plus and Ascend G710 images leak

It seems a few Huawei branded smartphones have recently leaked. We are talking about the Ascend Plus and the Ascend G710. The images have appeared with some basic details in terms of the specs and it would seem as if at least one of these devices will be coming to the US market. Archos Galaxy Note: don’t be fooled this afternoon

Last week we mentioned the latest Archos rumors. For those who missed that post, the rumors detailed three upcoming smartphones. Assuming these rumors prove to be accurate -- it looks like Archos is once again looking to release a few smartphones. We remain skeptical mainly because this is not the first time we are hearing talk of an Archos smartphone. That part of the rumor aside -- images of these smartphones weren't posted last week and they have not been posted since.

LG e960 leaks in the wild, could be the LG Optimus G Nexus

We've been hearing quite a bit of news lately about the next Google Nexus smartphone, many of which are claiming the device will be made by LG. What we have below is some odd photos of a prototype LG device running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, looks very similar to the Optimus G, and has a casing around it hiding its final design. Sounds a bit like what we've seen in the past from Samsung, and even Apple to hide final designs. Could this be the LG Optimus Nexus?

HP Bender Android smartphone leaks in benchmarks

Whoa! It appears that HP is looking to possibly mount a comeback because an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered HP Bender smartphone has been spotted in a few benchmarks. HP could be looking to start up right where webOS left off and switch gears to the wonderful world of Android -- just like they should have done years ago.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean leaks for Verizon Galaxy Nexus

When Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean they stated multiple devices would be getting upgraded to the latest and greatest around mid July. While the Galaxy Nexus was listed everyone knows Verizon likes to take their sweet time. Now it's nearly September and we still don't have Jelly Bean. Don't worry thought because late last night it leaked and is now available to all.
