Android Pay tipped for Google I/O unveiling

Sources have again surfaced, and they bring with them whispers of an upcoming "Android Pay" announcement at Google's I/O conference early this summer. Android Pay, should it come to fruition, will work exactly as you'd expect: it'll be used to accept payments in apps, and to pay for items in stores with a tap-to-pay arrangement and support for Android Pay. According to sources, Android Pay will likewise be built from the ground-up for Android devs, and will be, by the looks of things, a direct competitor to Apple Pay.

Sony ‘leaks’ Xperia Z4 Tablet with 2K display, possible MWC launch

We know how this works – manufacturers tend to test out website elements for new products and try to pull them out as quickly as possible, maybe for real world testing, maybe to get people to start talking about said product. We’ve seen it done many times before – and it just might be what we’re seeing here as Sony did a quick “one-two” for the upcoming Xperia Z4 Tablet device.

HTC One M9 detailed in big video leaks

The HTC One M9 will be made official in the near future, but at the rate the leaks are happening, not much will be a surprise once it comes. Over the weekend, a German retailer ended up leaking several renders of the phone, and now three videos have surfaced, all of them showing off the smartphone in extensive detail, including text boxes pointing out key elements of the phone. We've got all three videos in their entirety, as well as the pertinent details, after the jump!

Pebble smartwatch with color display surfaces in leak

Rumor has it a Pebble smartwatch with a color display is inbound, and following nicely along with such speculation is a new leaked image showing what is probably the official update (it has since been pulled, but the image survives). In the leak we see a Pebble wearable with a yellow display, and though the shot is front-facing, preventing us from seeing it all, the wearable's overall design has been updated. Whether it is the real deal is yet to be seen, but we won't have to wait long to find out, with Pebble's event coming up shortly.

HTC One M9 renders, details leaked by German retailer

We're just a week away from the world's largest mobile industry event, so naturally companies are getting their stuff ready. Unfortunately, at least for the companies, sometimes that results in unwanted leaks of "official" marketing materials happen. It seems that HTC just can't seem to get a lockdown of its information before MWC 2015. Or does it? This latest leak delivers an almost complete picture, figuratively and literally, of the HTC One M9 that makes it sound almost too good to be true. The same can't be said of the smartphone, sadly.

Lenovo Vibe X3, S1, P1, and P1 Pro pics and specs leak ahead of MWC

Some images and specifications for a slew of new smartphones from Lenovo have hit the web this week. All of the devices are tipped to get official at MWC next month. The new smartphones include the Lenovo Vibe X3, S1, P1, and P1 Pro. All of the phones appear to be made of metal rather than the cheap plastic casings previous Lenovo smartphones have used.

Leak: VLC update will (finally) have Chromecast support

It's been a long-time coming (well, 7 months, but in tech world that's forever) but it looks like your favorite jack-of-all-trades video player will finally be able to support Google's streaming dongle. If the changelog in the Git repo is to be believed, the next update to VLC will finally feature support for Chromecast, something that a lot of people are excited about, even though this was something "promised" (well, sort of) June of last year.
