Chameleon launcher gives early access to Kickstarter donors

There's a ton of launchers available at the moment, but depressingly few are for Android tablets (with Go Launcher HD being the best among them). Chameleon is a new tablet launcher that uses an impressive methodology: its layout changes depending upon the time of day, connection, or even GPS location, catering itself to which apps you use in which situations. Like seemingly everybody these days, the creators have started a Kickstarter campaign to get Chameleon finished and into the Google Play Store.

MIUI Launcher modded for any ICS ROM

No two ways about it: the MIUI family of ROMs has a unique visual approach. Blending elements from Android, iOS, WebOS, and plenty of manufacturer skins to boot, it's become one of the most popular ROMs for those who love to tinker with their user interface. The Android 4.0 version MIUI 4 is still a work in progress, but if you've got an Ice Cream Sandwich phone or ROM, you can try out the MIUI 4 launcher and lockscreen now, thanks to RootzWiki member "hoppermi".

Nova Launcher updated to Version 1.1

If you've got a Galaxy Nexus or an updated/modded Ice Cream Sandwich device, your choices for worthy launchers are pretty slim. The best to emerge among the short field is Nova Launcher, from WidgetLocker developer TeslaCoil Software. We've mentioned Nova Launcher before, but their latest update adds some notable new features for both free and paid users.

Motorola’s 4.0 ICS launcher leaked, try it now

Now I know the first thing many of you might be thinking is why would we want this. Most people tend to steer away from Motorola's user interface changes previously known as BLUR. Well, with the latest Gingerbread builds on the DROID 4, and some of what we've seen from Moto's 4.0 leaks has been promising and I'm sure some wouldn't mind giving them a try on their own phone.

GO Launcher HD hits the Google Play Store for ICS and Honeycomb

There's no shortage of custom launcher apps for your Android smartphone, but when it comes to tablets, options have been somewhat lacking for the better part of a year. One of the first to release a true tablet launcher comes from a familiar place: the Go Launcher team. Their new app, titled Go Launcher HD for Pad, is designed for Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich tablets, and it's a free download in the Google Play Store. If you're looking for something beyond the standard launcher that's built for tablets from the ground up, you should check it out.

Android Community App of the Week: Nova Launcher Beta

There's a lot of options out there when it comes to third-party Android launchers, AKA homescreens. But when making the jump to Ice Cream Sandwich (whether through a new device or an updated ROM) all of them seem to leave something to be desired. I've tried out all my favorites on my Galaxy Nexus over the last two months, and the one I keep coming back to is Nova Launcher. It's not that other launcher's don't work - it's that Nova Launcher works better. This modified version of the open-source stock launcher comes from a familiar face: TeslaCoil Software, maker of the popular lock screen replacement Widget Locker.
