Google I/O: What we expect in 2013
Google I/O 2013 is less than a week away at this point. The conference runs from May 15th through the 17th and will hopefully bring plenty of goodies for Android users. While there is still some question as to what will be shown and announced, we do know that Google will be running things a little bit different this year. The Google I/O schedule was released earlier in the month and it shows just one keynote. The keynote will run for a few hours on the morning of May 15th and this will be where our immediate attention is focused. The Android Community team will be on-site to bring you the latest, however as we recently saw with the release of the Google I/O 2013 app, these events will also be streamed for those not able to attend.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is coming soon, not Key Lime Pie
There's been quite a bit of speculation the past 4-6 months over the next major update to the number one mobile OS in the world, what Google will call it, and what features we can expect to see. Talk of Key Lime Pie, Android 5.0, and everything else in between. Lately however, new reports and details have started to surface leading us to believe we won't see Key Lime Pie, and instead Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will be the star of Google I/O next month.

Android Key Lime Pie: What we are hoping to see
There is always going to be talk of upcoming releases of Android, and in this case we are taking a look at what we expect to arrive as Android Key Lime Pie. Google has yet to say when they would be making an announcement for Key Lime Pie, however based on previous history, it seems fairly safe to think that talk will happen in May during Google I/O. For those who may not be as familiar with those dates, Google I/O will begin on May 15 and run through May 17.

Dear Google: please make the HTC Nexus 5

Dear Google: please make the HTC Nexus 5
I have a confession to make. The HTC Nexus One is still one of my favorite devices. Sure, multi-touch was a mess and Eclair was a work in progress, but I loved it. Fast forward a few years and Android has evolved, Samsung is a powerhouse, and HTC is struggling to keep their head above water. The Nexus 4 has arrived from LG, we all know what the GALAXY S 4 is about, and now everyone is focused on Motorola. That being said, I want an HTC Nexus 5.

Android 5.0 prematurely outed by Galaxy Note II tipster
Remember when I said that Samsung Galaxy Note II users are getting a plethora of good news today? Well add this onto the list. A Note II tipster has leaked an Android OS update schedule for several devices. Under the "To get Android 5.0" list, it shows that Samsung Galaxy Note II and Note II LTE owners will be updated to Android's latest OS in the future. Unfortunately the same can't be said for its predecessor, the original Samsung Galaxy Note.

Google I/O 2013: Now sold out
As we were expecting to happen, Google I/O 2013 has sold out. And done so rather quickly at that. A visit to the 2013 I/O registration page shows that registration is closed and "Google I/O is sold out." Unofficial time reports have I/O as selling out in roughly 45 to 50 minutes, which is a bit slower as compared to last years event.

Google I/O 2013 ticket sales now available
Google has officially opened registration for the 2013 event. The tickets are available at this very moment, however that is likely to change rather quick. The Google I/O events have been selling out quicker and quicker each and every year and with some of the excitement already in place -- we expect this to be a similar situation this year. Those looking to purchase a ticket will need to be quick, and also be willing to part with a fairly decent amount of money.

Qualcomm leak hints at 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date – Mum’s the word
Earlier this week a leaked Qualcomm roadmap managed to find its way onto the interwebs, and it was full of useful and potentially damaging information and was quickly pulled. Our friends from AndroidPolice first posted the details, but were shortly thereafter ordered to remove the information. Today some new details have surfaced confirming that along with the Qualcomm information, the slides also reported Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is coming this spring.
