Behold! Craziness with your Nexus S, all after you put your root down and get to business. Voodoo business. What XDA forum member supercurio says is that this is the first kernel to implement Ext4 mount options optimization as well as the first Optimized kernel for Nexus S ever. What this particular project does is to bring your Nexus S back to the pre-compiled kernel shipped on your device (or close to it.) And what's that do? Makes it "very snappy."

The Linux kernel source for the Samsung Nexus S has just been posted by Google on their repository. Giving developers something to work with to start producing ROMs and other various hacks, it has been published just 2 days before we will see the device hit Best Buy shelves.

Since we first laid eyes on this innovative tablet at CES, we’ve always wondered what it would be like if Android was running on such a device. Well, our dreams have come true, Lenovo has opted out of using their own custom version of Linux in favor of Android. They also have pushed back the release most likely in preparation for an Android loaded Skylight and UI Hybrid.

In case you aren’t familiar with the ODROID , the manufacturer, Hardkernel, describes it as an “Entertainment Device” with a focus on gaming. The Developer Edition is shipping with a Samsung Cortex-A8 processor clocked at 833MHz with NEON multimedia accelerator, 512 MB of DDR2 RAM, and 720p video output via HDMI, but only a 320 x 480 3.5 inch screen, a vanilla install of Android 1.5. Well, the 1.5 will be replaced soon by Android 2.1

Guardian Project has secure Android smartphones in the works
Cryptographically secure phones has been around for quite sometime now but the use of such devices are highly underutilized due to their high cost and low user support. Android is now being used by Guardian Project in an effort to bring these types of devices to the masses. Android-compatible handset will be updated with new firmware release that would add an anonymous browser, encrypted email, secure voice calls and secure data sync, along with various other security related things.
