Yahoo Japan launches its own Android App Store

My my my, Android app stores certainly seem to be cropping up a lot lately, don't they? The latest is Yahoo Market, a competitor for the Android Market and the Amazon Appstore that's only available in Japan at the moment. The store features the obligatory Android app and most popular Android games. At the moment it's just a listing of apps available in the official Android Market, but Yahoo says they they'll be selling apps on their own in the spring of 2012.

Sony’s Tablet S and Tablet P get Japanese 3G versions on October 28th

Sony's first entries into the Honeycomb tablet market, the creatively-named Tablet S and Tablet P, are getting mobile broadband versions in their home market. Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo will start selling 3G versions of both devices on October 28th. On this side of the Pacific, the Tablet S is only available in a WiFi version, and the dual-screen tablet P is still a complete no-show.

It appears Mickey Mouse has found his ears and came to his senses with Disney set to launch two new Android smartphones. It looks like Lion King and the Little Mermaid are about to get replaced by the little green robot we call Andy. The Yahoo! Phone: Running on Google’s Android

Can you say Winning... Oh wait I must be confusing this with something else. Apparently Yahoo is planning to build a phone running on Google's Android OS. Maybe I should say fail instead but then again Yahoo is the biggest search giant in Japan, not Google. Android beats iPhone for market share in Japan

Android and the iPhone are locked in a battle all around the world to see what OS is the most popular with users and which of them will grab the most of the market. For a long time the iPhone was ahead of Android in most places, but the tide is turning. Many reports have come out that show Android now ahead of the iPhone in several markets and the latest market for Android to take the lead is Japan. Android handsets have now overtaken the iPhone in market share for Japan reports Bloomberg.

Kyocera Katsura Android “Gaming Tablet” Photos Leaked [EXCLUSIVE]

Well this is odd, to say the least. We've been passed some relatively blurry photos of what our super secret source is telling us is called the Kyocera "Katsura." Our source preferred to remain anonymous but didn't mind being called "our man in Eastern Europe." He wouldn't say where he was living, or where the photos were taken, but we've got to assume it's within a few fathoms of Kyoto Japan, since that's where Kyocera is based, yet still in an area where Euros are used, as a 10p Euro coin is pictured in one of the photos.
