Dayframe digital photo frame app exits beta

Dayframe is an app that we have been looking at recently. Details of the app emerged earlier in the month and thanks to an available beta, we were able to take an early look at the app. Basically, Dayframe will turn your Android tablet or smartphone into a digital photo frame.

Dayframe is an app that will turn your Android handset into a photo frame. This one comes by way of Cloud.tv, the same team responsible for HD Widgets and should not be confused with Daydream, the Jelly Bean feature. The Dayframe app is set to arrive in the Play Store on November 12th, however we took advantage of the beta program to get an early look.

Google launches “Views” as photo sphere community

Google has recently launched a new community based site. This latest is called Views and it deals with photo sphere images. More specifically, being able to easily share those photo sphere images with others. The Views community connects with Google Maps and of course, the photo sphere images can be captured by those with a device running Android 4.2 or later.

Polamatic by Polaroid app released, we go hands-on

It looks like Android users now have another image filtering app to choose from. This latest is called Polamatic by Polaroid. The app comes by way of Appadana and this is described as being an officially licensed Polaroid app. That bit aside, the app brings options for 20 photo filters along with 36 Polaroid frames. Users are also able to caption these images and then share them out on other networks.

#Square app squares Instagram images without the crop

A new app has recently made its way into the Google Play Store and this is one that may be of use for heavy Instagram users. Or maybe more accurately, #Square may be of use to those Instagram users who prefer not to crop the sides of their images to achieve the square format. The app is touted as being a simple photo editor for Instagram and based on the time we have spent playing, that seems to be just about as accurate description as possible.

Aviary app update brings updated UI, stickers and other improvements

Aviary has recently updated the Photo Editor app which is now sitting at version 3.0 with a few new features and improvements. The folks at Aviary are calling this a "gigantic" update that is the biggest ever for Android. Basically, this update has brought a redesigned interface as well as some enhancements and some stickers. There is also a new effect pack for those willing and/or able to spend a few bucks.

Imgur photo-hosting app for Android hits the Play Store

Get ready to easily and quickly upload all those kitty photos and funny GIF (not jif) images to the popular photo-hosting site Imgur with ease. While there's been no shortage of similar apps in the Play Store, this is the official Imgur app for Android. It was released back in April for Australia only, but now everyone can get in on the action and easy uploads.
