Alcatel ONE TOUCH POP series of smartphones gets refreshed

We have already seen a few device announcements coming out of IFA from Alcatel. And as of today it looks like another has arrived. This latest is dealing with the One Touch Pop series of smartphones. Essentially, Alcatel has refreshed the POP series of smartphones. The newly updated One Touch Pop lineup will be arriving with Jelly Bean and it consists of the C1, C3, C5 and C7.

PocketBook e-paper case for Samsung Galaxy S 4 hands-on

Device accessories including cases are fairly common to see these days. But every once in a while there is one that has a stand-out feature. In this instance that stand-out feature just so happens to be an e-ink display. The case is is from PocketBook and for the Samsung Galaxy S 4. Basically, what you have is a flip-style cover that when opened, has a 4.3-inch e-paper display.

Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid hands-on

Wacom introduced the Cintiq Companion Hybrid during IFA and as such, we made sure to check it out for some hands-on coverage. This tablet is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. It will work with a Mac or Windows computer and will also serve as an Android tablet when unplugged from the computer.

Lenovo S5000: hands-on with another Nexus 7 competitor

Lenovo announced the S5000 tablet and the Vibe X smartphone during IFA. We recently shared some hands-on images with the Vibe X and now we have some for the S5000. The Lenovo S5000 is a 7-inch Android tablet, and given the size, it seems only natural to have it sitting as competition for the Nexus 7. Of course, while we have some specs for the S5000, we have yet to see the other important aspect -- the price.

Lenovo Vibe X hands-on: 5-inch 1080p display and quad-core processor

Lenovo has had a few Android device announcements during IFA, one of which is the Vibe X. This is a 5-inch smartphone that has a 1080p display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor. The Vibe X will be arriving as the next flagship for Lenovo and it brings a bit of focus on the cameras -- which includes a 5 megapixel on the front and a 13 megapixel on the back.

LG G Pad 8.3 hands-on

LG is making another attempt at the tablet segment, bringing its new G Pad 8.3 to IFA 2013 to try to build on the buoyant reception to the LG G2. We grabbed some hands-on time with the 8.3-inch tablet to find out whether LG's promise of "better than HD" resolution and features cribbed from the G2 make sense.
