Temple Run 2 coming to Android next week
Whoa. Out of the blue this afternoon the founder of Imangi Studios and creator of the wildly popular and addicting game Temple Run has announced that Temple Run 2 is launching tomorrow. Temple Run 2 will be available tonight in New Zealand and then arrive for the US tomorrow on iOS, followed by an Android release next week. The game is one of the biggest success stories on both iOS and Android, and we're looking forward to seeing the sequel.

Android still on top in comScore’s November 2012 market share report
comScore has delivered its market share report for November 2012, and unsurprisingly, Android finds itself at the top of the charts yet again. For the three month period ending in November 2012, Android's market share grew to 53.7%, up 1.1 percentage points from the three month period ending August 2012. iOS was on the rise in that period too, gaining 0.7 percentage points over the period ending in November to settle at 35%.

Flurry claims 50 million Android and iOS device activations during Christmas week
Christmas Day and the week immediately following it are obviously always going to be big for new device activations, but today we're finding out that the final week in December might just have been the biggest on record for iOS and Android. That's according to analytics firm Flurry, which said today that iOS and Android device activations for Christmas week topped a whopping 50 million. Looks like a bunch of people picked up a shiny new tablet of smartphone in the final week of 2012.

Google testing ‘quick view’ for mobile search results – on iOS at least
The popular desktop "quick view" feature for Google search results appears to be headed to mobile in the near future. Google seems to be testing out this new quick view feature, at least on iOS, where users can instantly get a quick view of the webpage without loading the full site -- and data. It's called quick view and as you can see there's a big nice button on some mobile browsers.

iPhone 5 cuts into Android market share in US and UK, Android still on top
September 30 marked the end of Q3 2012 for a lot of companies, but it also marked the end of the quarter for a lot of analytics firms as well. One of these firms is Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, and today it delivered its report on the smartphone market as its stands at the end of Q3. It seems that Android has a worthy competitor in the iPhone 5, and even though there isn't a threat of Android losing its massive market share lead anytime soon, Apple's newest handset did manage to put a dent in Android's growth in the US and UK.

Earlier today, we told you that Isis Mobile Wallet had launched in Salt Lake City and Austin with 9 supported devices on 3 different carriers. That's big news, but not one to be outdone, Google has started teasing an announcement of its own. It seems that Google Wallet is about to get an all new version, and with it, Google is looking to tackle all sorts of other markets.

Apple CEO Tim Cook issues apology for Apple Maps
The recent release of Apple's iOS 6 saw the company ditch Google Maps in favor of their own mapping solution in order to bring features like turn-by-turn navigation and 3D flyover to its users. The result didn't turn out so well, and the company has received a lot of backlash from its users. Apple CEO Tim Cook has addressed these issues and apologized today for all the problems.
