Huawei IDEOS X3 [Hands-On] [VIDEO]

The folks at Engadget had their eyes peeled back and an eye open whilst at the Huawei booth at Mobile World Congress 2011, finding the Huawei IDEOS X3 right there, sitting out in the open. This is the sort of phone that'll work great to usher in new users into the Android world, having basic features plus a few surprises to leave them wanting more. This phone has a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscree, a Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU, front facing camera of unknown power, 3.2 megapixel camera on the back, 256GB of RAM, and a 1200 mAH battery. As for connectivity, the IDEOS X3 has Wifi b/g/n, dualband HSPA and quadband EDGE radios... and believe it or not, a skinned version of Gingerbread.

Huawei Australia Unveils IDEOS X5, X6 Android Smartphones

Check it out, a couple new phones for the Australian Market - both of them from Huawei, both of them Running Android 2.2 Froyo. They're the IDEOS X5 and X6, both of them with timing and pricing yet to be revealed. Each one is a teensy tiny bit different from the other.

Skype 1.0.1 Update for Android Added Today

Popular talk and chat application Skype has just been updated to version 1.0.1, adding such lovely features as QVGA support and support for 320x240 resolution screens. This should pump up owners of Huawei IDEOS, LG Optimus T/S, Motorola Charm, and HTC Wildfire, who until now were workin without full functionality. Skype for Android has fixes and bug adjustments as well, a list of improvements to be found here below.

Best Buy Offers Huawei Ideos S7 Android Tablet on Pre-Order (Right Next to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab)

You may now order the Galaxy Tab on pre order from Best Buy for $599.99 on either Verizon or Sprint. This lovely maching comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo), runs on a 3G connection, has Wi-fi, 1 GHz processor, 16GB of internal memory, and has two cameras, one for video calling and one for... having lots of fun. Best Buy also has the Android tablet Huawei Ideos S7 available for pre-order (this is the one in the picture you see here, now.)

TMO News has just received an array of images of the upcoming T-Mobile Comet formally known as the Huawei Ideos. The Comet will be an entry level device that's running stock Android 2.2.

China’s Huawei Reveals Two New Android Phones: IDEOS X5 and X6

Over in China, equipment company Huawei is showing off two Android smartphones that go by the names IDEOS X5 and IDEOS X6. Both phone suppoert HSPA+ high-speed data and Android 2.2 Froyo. The X5 model is a mid-range phone with 3.8 inch touchscreen and 5 megapixel camera, bluetooth, and wifi connection. The IDEOS X6 is a larger screened phone with 4.1 inch 800x480 capacitive touchscreen.

Huawei Ideos 2.2 Handset Announced

Announced today at IFA-2010 was a little handset called the Ideos, by Huawei. This will be a Vanilla 2.2 Android device that has a 2.8 inch capacitive display with a resolution of 320x240, and 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera without a flash. Providing power to the device is an underpowered 528MHz processor, along with HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and micro SD card slot.
