HTC has a midrange problem. The One M8 is a great phone, but it's a flagship which means it's expensive. It's also big, with a 5-inch screen and those frequently-commented-on big bezels top and bottom. Arriving to hopefully save the day is the HTC One mini 2, taking the style and some of the key functionality of the One M8, and making it easier to hold, easier to afford, and far more suited to the mass-market.

Extreme Power Saving mode comes to AT&T’s One (M8)

The HTC One (M8) is one of the better Android devices we’ve seen in a long time, but it was missing one key feature. The Extreme Power Saving mode, bragged-up on launch, was absent from US variants of the device. Promising to include it shortly, HTC has made good on their word, and those with an AT&T HTC One (M8) are starting to see it via an update.

Images posted to HTC’s Weibo account hint at a new device, which promises to be fashionable. The handset is aesthetically reminiscent of the older One (which had several variants), but there is no information accompanying it to give hard details on what we’re getting.

Google’s MADA defines rules for Android device makers

We've recently seen details of the case between Apple and Samsung. But while that case had been between those two companies, the Google name was frequently included. And quite often the term MADA came up in relation to Google and Samsung. MADA stands for Mobile Application Distribution Agreement and it lists the rules and requirements when it comes to putting out an Android device.
