HTC ThunderBolt Outsells iPhone 4 at Verizon

So you were wondering if it was wise to keep your launch-day ThunderBolt and you decided to hang on to it, yes? You though it was probably the best phone you'd ever owned in your entire life, and you wanted to be awesome, just like the thousands of other Verizon customers across the USA, right? Turns out you're VERY MUCH not alone in that, and you're beating the crap out of Apple while you're at it. That's right, HTC ThunderBolt is outselling the iPhone.

Verizon giving away an HTC Thunderbolt and party with Mark Cuban

Android fans in Dallas have a shot at winning an HTC Thunderbolt and a private party with Mark Cuban and ten friends. All users need to do is follow @MCuban on Twitter, and then collect the 5 Verizon Wireless with the five VZW puzzle pieces that Cuban will post on his Twitter Feed from April 1-5. The more puzzle pieces you collect, the better your chance to win. Then, turn in the puzzle pieces at the HTC Thunderbolt launch party on Wednesday, April 6 at the Victory Park Plaza store and you've got a shot at winning the Thunderbolt and partying with the NBAs badboy owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

HTC ThunderBolt Annihilates Masses of Quadrant Competitors, Overclocks to 1.8Ghz with “unboLTEd 0.2″

Before we begin, there's two important things to note: one, that we don't know Derek Rodriquez well enough to know for sure if these scores are real or accurate, but it appears that with his kernel "unboLTEd 0.2," incredible speeds and scores have been achieved. Overlocking to 1.8GHz is no small feat one a single-core machine, neither is achieving a score of 2772 in Quadrant benchmarking - but is it real? We can certainly cross our fingers and hope for the best!

Firefox 4 Android Benchmarks on HTC ThunderBolt and ATRIX 4G

What we've got here are two rather different phones and three sort of similar browsers, the phones running on two rather different carriers and the browsers whose creators would all hope to gain your attention long enough to browse the internet with their application over the competition. What we're using to test out the browsers in question, the newest of which, Firefox 4, was just released today, is a JavaScript Benchmark by the name of SunSpider. It's a sweet test that can test everyone equally.

Cool Verizon spot races onto TVs

If you're an Indy racing fan, Verizon has a cool new service that will help you keep up on your favorite racing team ... Team Verizon! HTC ThunderBolt Kernel Source Revealed

It appears that HTC has gotten quite wise in the ways of the open market, releasing this week the kernel source for the HTC ThunderBolt. For those of you who know what this means, head below for the link directly connecting you to the files you'll be needing to hack up the world. For those of you that don't, let me break it down as simply as it needs to be broken down: between the applications you use and the hardware you use your applications on, there's a kernel. A kernel is the central component of your Android operating system - with it, you can do just about anything.

HTC Thunderbolt gets rooted with a click

The rootability of the HTC Thunderbolt continues to reveal more gems as as XDA Moderator CaptainKrtek, with support from NetForce-TX, has created a one click method which, after testing, is pretty easy to apply. The method is a Windows batch file which runs the user through the complete process and ends with a rooted Thunderbolt ready to play with. CaptainKrtek suggests users still give the thread a good solid read just in case anything goes wrong, but he's confident that, thanks to NetForce-TX's testing, that the batch file is sound and works as advertised.

Tango Video Chat Review for HTC ThunderBolt

The moment we came into knowledge of Tango being the preferred video chat client of those testing and using the HTC ThunderBolt in the field, we had to take a closer look for ourselves. This is an app that's free, but even free apps need to be scrutinized to a certain degree because of the amount of time a person has to dedicate to them - understanding that, this app stands up to to tough scrutiny. It's at once simple and extremely well played, and most importantly: it works.

HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G Accessories Rundown

Whilst taking a hands-on look at the devices Sprint had to offer at their first special event at CTIA 2011, we had a glance at what they'd have in stock for their big launch. The devices in question were the HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO View 4G, both of these Android devices and both of them ripe for the casing. The HTC EVO View 4G again is a handheld tablet with a stylus that's aka the USA version of the HTC Flyer first introduced at Mobile World Congress 2011. The HTC EVO 3D is a 3D capable handset comparable in size to the new HTC ThunderBolt (save for its lack of a kickstand and addition of a camera duo on the back.)

HTC EVO 3D Thickness Compared to HTC ThunderBolt in Photos

If there's one thing that's important about a phone, it's how thick it is. Yes, no matter how powerful a phone is, what its capabilities are, how much it costs, what carrier it's on, what part of the world it's distributed in, what color it is, who manufactures it, how big its display is, what kinds of outputs it's got, what kind of media it can access, or whether or not it can stand up with a built-in kickstand. No, it's the thickness. Or the thinness!
