HTC Lead, that is, and it'll be spurring your interest soon, probably inside 2011 if they're smart since NVIDIA'll be changing the entire game again with their KAL-EL quad-core processor by the end of the year. This phone looks to be basically identical to every other HTC phone that's been released this year save for the speaker grill above, which instead of being a long silvery thing is now a short black thing.

Verizon’s 4G LTE Network Down Nationwide

Verizon's 4G LTE Network is down nationwide, forcing those with an HTC Thunderbolt or a 4G hotspot to suffer along with near dial-up speeds. According to Verizon's twitter feed, the Thunderbolt is able to do voice calls, but data is running at 1xRTT data. The outage comes just one day before the DROID Charge, Verizon's second 4G phone, hits the network. Verizon has said they are hard at work to fix the problem. Verizon's 4G network went down late last night, and though it doesn't affect 3G devices, the Thunderbolt has been booted down to extremely slow speeds. There is a fix, however, that will allow the Thunderbolt to get back up to 3G at least.

Skype Video for Android ready & waiting on Verizon

Word on the street is that Skype has finished testing it's Video feature on Android handsets and is waiting for Verizon to distribute. The news came from a support reply to a query by Android user "Dmitri." The issue is that Verizon controls updating of Skype to phones on their network and as such, users have to had to wait patiently for it. Skype has a partnership with Verizon, so it makes sense that they wouldn't release it without Verizon's "check."

Amazon promotes Android with app money

Amazon is joining forces with Verizon to offer $25 to spend in the Amazon App Store for Android with the purchase of a Verizon Android Device. The promotion begins tomorrow and will run all week. The offer is valid only on Verizon phones including the HTC Thunderbolt, which Amazon recently dropped to $129.99 with a two year deal. The promotion will certainly drive traffic to it's new AppStore but will also give a boost to Amazon's Wireless portal and the Verizon 4G phone which has been cut in price more than once.

HTC Thunderbolt outsells iPhone 4 last month at Verizon

This is a little interesting, but at the same time I'm not all that surprised. The iPhone 4 is old news, It is old and doesn't even have 4G I mean common right. Well, according to the research firm ITG The HTC Thunderbolt outsold the iPhone 4 on Verizon last month. That is only on Verizon. Some might be waiting for that white iPhone, or the 5, but I think most likely it is that beautiful 4.3" screen and that little feature called "4G LTE" that is doing the selling.
