HTCSense.com sync service shutting down – backup your data now

The sky is falling! Mayans predicted it! It's the end of the world as we know it! Well, nothing so dramatic - but if you rely on HTC's Sense service to back up your phone's data, it might as well be. The HTCSense.com website is receiving a major overhaul soon, and aparently it's big enough that they need to scrap just about everything they've built up so far. That means that on April 30th, all the personal data that HTC has saved for backups and emergencies will be wiped clean.

HTC Sense 4.0 details emerge before Mobile World Congress

Like it or not, custom manufacturer skins are here to stay. That said some are better than others, and HTC's Sense UI has emerged as one of the more mature and usable options, even garnering its fair share of fans. HTC is expected to reveal the fourth version of Sense with new hardware at Mobile World Congress next month, but PocketNow allegedly got a look at the changes before prime time. They came away impressed, and noted some radical - and in many cases welcome - changes.

HTC Sensation Android 4.0 ROM Leaks, teases Sense UI on ICS

While developers have been going crazy porting and working on ROM's for all devices to get a taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich today we have something even better. This appears to be a full Android 4.0 ROM for the Sensation XE that was leaked to the public. Developers have already ported this to the regular HTC Sensation and it seems to be working great. This also gives us our first glace at what to expect with HTC's Sense UI on Ice Cream Sandwich -- more of the same sadly.

HTC Explorer press shot revealed, HTC Sense 3.5 and more

HTC seems to have no plans on slowing down when it comes to hitting every aspect of the Android market. With top tier phones like the Sensation 4G, and low end phones like the pictured HTC Explorer. What we have here is the official press shot of the HTC Explorer, known previously and leaked as the HTC Pico. Along with a slight design change and some Sense UI 3.5 the Explorer aims to be a decent entry level smartphone.

HTC Pyramid ROM ported to HTC Desire HD

The gang at XDA has done it again, this time, "CapyChimp" has managed to port the HTC Pyramid Rom to the HTC Desire HD ... and it only took 24 hours. Now granted, with such a slap dash effort to get it ported and out, there's some more work to be done. A LOT of work, in order to iron out the bugs. But it does give users a chance to poke around the neighborhood some. Let's take a look ...

HTC Sense 3.0 Not coming to older devices, but they will get pieces

Earlier today there was a tweet by a HTC employee that has now made it's rounds throughout all the blogs. He mentioned that legacy devices, even ones like the Desire S and Desire HD will NOT be getting Sense 3.0 due to hardware requirements. You can see that tweet here. That would not be good news for many of you that have just jumped into one of those exciting new phones.
