HTC on the ropes: revenue falls 30% in November

If you're a fan of HTC's phones, you might want to stop reading now. The Taiwanese company's total revenue dropped by over four hundred million dollar equivalent in November, from NT$44,114 billion down to NT$ 30.942 billion in a single month. The news comes after HTC had already slashed predictions for the quarter and indicated flat growth - now even those figures seem a little optimistic, despite new launches like the Rezound, Vivid and Sensation XL. HTC did not supply a reason for the downturn.

Some HTC Rezound units having audio-out issues

If you're going to call a phone "Rezound", then launch it with exclusive Beats audio and high-dollar bundled headphones, you should probably makes absolutely sure there's no problem with the audio. That's the thought occupying many new owners of the HTC Rezound, which is having some trouble in the tunes department according to Droid Life. A few users are reporting static interference when using either the iBeats headphones or any other audio device - a black eye tin ear on the music-focused flagship device.

The HTC Rezound’s 2750 mAh extended battery is massive

LTE uses a lot of juice - there's just no way around that at present. So it's always nice to see a manufacturer embrace that truth and offer a first-party battery for reliable and worry-free extended use. That said - wow. The extended battery for the brand-new HTC Rezound is gigantic. HTCpedia got their hands on one and took the following photo, next to the standard battery:

HTC Rezound Review

The HTC Rezound is not the nicest HTC device to have been released thus far to the market here in the USA, but it certainly does have all the features that make it one of the best smartphones on Verizon, and certainly one of the top two LTE devices today. In the following review I'm going to prove to you why if you're in the market for an HTC LTE device, this is your very best choice, that if you're in the market for the best HTC device on the market, you'd better go with the Sensation, and finally why if you want the most iconic, memorable, and well supported devices on Verizon you may well be better off going with the DROID RAZR.

HTC Rezound Hands-on

Verizon and HTC join forces once again to bring the HTC Rezound, a 4G LTE-carrying smartphone that's also the first in the United States to have Beats by Dr Dre from Monster. This device has a 4.3-inch S-LCD display at 720 x 1280 (otherwise known as 720p) pixel resolution, a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor under the hood, Sense 3.5, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, and 2 megapixel camera on the front plus an 8 megapixel camera on the back capable of 1080p video recording. This device is set to go directly up against the other Verizon smartphone released recently, (just today, as it were,) the ultra-thin dual-core LTE Motorola DROID RAZR, another device we've got a full review of here on Android Community up already!

HTC Rezound shipping early from Verizon, taking orders too

Well folks, it looks like Verizon may be not only taking orders early for the recently announced HTC Rezound, but they are shipping it early too. A few lucky users ordered early by simply calling in and ordering over the phone with a Verizon Rep and chose overnight shipping. Low and behold today, November 9th, the Rezound apepared on their doorsteps. The device is set to launch November 14th so someone might be in a little trouble over this one.

Android Community Weekly: November 6, 2011

We've had a great week of tech reviews, hands-on/unboxings, and development for this first week of November! First, we started off our work week with an excellent review of the Motorola ATRIX 2 by Michael Crider. An unboxing of the HTC Rezound was then performed by Cory Gunther soon after. After seeing ads of the HTC Rezound show up in Verizon Wireless stores, you can be sure to see this device soon. It was officially announced to the public Thursday, and around the same time we released our own hands-on round-up.
