Wil Wheaton Recovery tool simplifies the HTC One root process
Wil Wheaton recently took to his Google+ page looking for anyone that had successfully rooted the HTC One. As it turns out, Wheaton was able to unlock the bootloader, but he could not get it to mount any partitions when he booted into recovery. As per his words, this process had him "about to scream." Anyway, it seems that his pain and suffering has actually lead to a new tool that should help others through the HTC One rooting process.

HTC One trade-in program extended through mid-May
HTC has had a trade-in program available for those purchasing the One smartphone. The program was originally unveiled back in mid-February and has since been given a few extensions. And well, it looks like HTC has once again extended the deadline. This latest brings the purchase date into the middle of May and the mail-in date up into the middle of June.

We have seen previous leaks and rumors surrounding the HTC M4, however as of today we are seeing details that seem to have shifted from what we last heard. Earlier in the month the M4 rumors were pointing to a handset that would be similar to that of the HTC First. Basically, it was looking like the M4 would launch with specs similar to the First, but the rumor also suggested the handset would have a build quality closer to that of the First as opposed to the One.

In the past mophie was a name that many associated with the iPhone. While mophie has some external battery packs available, a big attraction coming from them are the battery cases and up until a few months back -- those were only available for those with an Apple device. That being said, mophie had previously released a battery case for the Galaxy S III and as of today they have announced another for the HTC One.

T-Mobile has the HTC One available, however those making a purchase direct from the carrier will be doing so under the new UNcarrier approach. Basically, that is to say you will be getting the One with an initial downpayment and 24 additional monthly payments. The UNcarrier set up includes the newer Simple Choice Plans, however we suspect some may still prefer the Classic plans.

HTC: No injunction in Netherlands, HTC One will not be delayed
This week we've heard and reported a few details regarding a lawsuit from Nokia aimed right at HTC and their new flagship One smartphone. The word on the street was Nokia sued over some microphones in the One, and received an injunction against the smartphone. However, today HTC has confirmed that isn't accurate and their smartphone will continue to be available worldwide with no further delays.
