HTC One S hits T-Mobile April 25th

HTC's new One series is getting a lot of attention as of late, and with good reason. Currently the new phones are available across Europe but we are still waiting for them to land here in the states. AT&T has the One X coming soon, and some new leaks have all but confirmed the HTC One S will be available from T-Mobile on April 25th.

T-Mobile’s HTC One S benchmarked on camera

The HTC One series is all the rage at the moment in the Android world, and the T-Mobile's getting the exclusive American version of the One S, the middle child with its own set of charms. We've already given the One S a full review and a thorough run down as far as benchmarks go, but TmoNews has a few photos of T-Mobile's version in the wild. It's rumored to be coming April 22nd, so a few devices are bound to be in manager's hands at the moment - looks like we won't have to wait too much longer.

HTC One X vs One S Benchmarks battle for the top spot

HTC has just unleashed their new One series of smartphones across Europe and will be coming soon to the US. In case you didn't notice there was a flurry of reviews of both the HTC One X and the One S that hit the web earlier this week. You can see our awesome and detailed reviews from the links below but today I wanted to focus on benchmarks. Read on below to see who takes the top spot and is king of the mobile hill.

HTC One X and One S now shipping in the UK

Alright Brits, you're always complaining about haw America gets all the good stuff first - movies, gadgets, Netflix, sandwiches that don't suck. With HTC's One series, you can now lord your mobile superiority over the former colonies. The HTC One X and One S are now officially on sale in the UK, both in their unlocked, full-priced versions and subsidized from carriers. Take your pick of Three, Orange, O2, Vodaphone and T-Mobile UK, almost all of which will give you either phone for free with a contract, though the price of the monthly plans will differ accordingly.

HTC One X shows NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 is a battery’s best friend

Starting today and all of this week we're getting our first look at the new HTC One series of smartphones. Starting with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core powered HTC One X, and then the equally impressive One S with the dual-core Qualcomm S4 Krait processor. We've reviewed them both here at Android Community and will link to them below, but what we were impressed with (among many things) was the battery life and conservation.

HTC One S Review

The 2012 hero phone strategy for HTC hits its thinnest point with the HTC One S, a device that brings the full power of the HTC One series made to compete with the best of the best. This device runs Android 4.0.3 right out of the box, has Sense 4.0 (made specifically for the Ice Cream Sandwich environment) and has hardware that backs up the promise of the user interface. This beast is backed up by no less than the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, otherwise known as Krait and MSM8260A in this case, and ushers in a new era for smartphone cameras as well with not only assistance from the Snapdragon but another chip by the name of HTC Image Chip. Will this member of the One family live up to the new HTC promise?

HTC sues French site over early One S unboxing

There's an unfortunate tendency among hardware manufacturers of all kinds to jealously guard their new products from prying eyes. Such is the case with the HTC One S, which was included in HTC-Hub's unboxing of the HTC One X. Both devices are due to go on sale in Europe in just a few hours, but that didn't stop the Taiwanese company from taking some major offense at the French site's actions. They've initiated a civil suit against HTC-Hub, even though both the X and the S were leaked weeks before their Mobile World Congress unveiling. HTC France has appointed a bailiff to recover the One S phone that the site had planned to review.

HTC One X caught in the wild being unboxed on video

The brand new HTC One X has been getting tons of attention, and with good reason. Being HTC's new flagship quad-core smartphone with a huge 4.7-inch HD screen and more. We've been reporting on it all week, mainly that it will be available in parts of China and the UK the first week of April. Today it has already been caught on camera, being unboxed and shown off for all to enjoy. HTC claims "I'm the one you've been waiting for."

HTC One S could head to T-Mobile April 22nd

Fair warning, T-Mobile customers: treat this one as rumor, because that's what it is. Now that that's out of the way, TmoNews has gotten a tip that HTC's One S will be headed to the American carrier on April 22nd. That conclusion comes from what looks like a pre-release web element, showing off the brand-new phone with an unmistakable "countdown" timer ending on the Monday in question. The phrase "sell the HTC One S on launch day" probably means that this picture was taken from an internal T-Mobile intranet, meant for retail employees or associates.

HTC One series gets priced and dated in Austria, Germany and Switzerland

If you happen to live in central Europe, in one of those countries where the language has about three times as many consonants as it really needs, then you'll soon be able to pick up one one of HTC's shiny new consonant-themed smartphones. The HTC One X, One S and One V have been given proper release notes in Austria, Germany and Switzerland: all of them will be available unlocked starting on Monday, April 2nd. The One X will be €599 (about $795 or £500) The One S will be €499 ($663) and the One V will be €299 ($397).
