HTC One mini, mini 2 not getting a taste of Lollipop

We've been giving the premium HTC One M9 and the One M9+ a lot of attention lately but we're not completely forgetting about the mid-range HTC One mini and mini 2. If you're an owner of any of the two models, sad to say, but your HTC smartphone isn't getting Android Lollipop. This seems final when asked last month on Twitter when the Android 5.0 for the HTC One mini 2 will arrive. HTC quickly replied that the model "isn't scheduled to receive the update" and that the Lollipop won't provide an optimal experience for the One mini 2.

HTC One mini 2 takes on the midrange: We go hands-on

HTC has a midrange problem. The One M8 is a great phone, but it's a flagship which means it's expensive. It's also big, with a 5-inch screen and those frequently-commented-on big bezels top and bottom. Arriving to hopefully save the day is the HTC One mini 2, taking the style and some of the key functionality of the One M8, and making it easier to hold, easier to afford, and far more suited to the mass-market.

AT&T One Mini Android 4.4.2 rollout begins

Kit Kat is coming for the AT&T branded HTC One Mini. The update, which begins as of today, is arriving as a 658MB file that can be downloaded only using a WiFi connection. Perhaps more important though, AT&T One Mini users will be getting Android 4.4.2 along with Sense 5.5.

AT&T HTC One mini Android 4.4 upgrade coming end of the week

While most of the mobile world's eyes have been focused on HTC's shiniest One, or averted by Facebook's news, those rooting for the HTC One mini need not feel unloved. By the end of this week, owners of HTC's miniature flagship will be enjoying all the perks of the latest Android 4.4.2, as well as the not-so latest Sense 5.5 UI, at least if they're under AT&T's network.
