HTC One Max image leak further details the fingerprint scanner

An earlier image leak had the HTC One Max sitting side-by-side with the regular-sized One and the One Mini. While the size comparison was good to see, the more interesting portion of that image was what appeared to be a fingerprint scanner on the backside of the HTC One Max. That was looking like it would be a feature on the handset until another spec leak arrived with no mention of the scanner being included.

HTC One Max leak suggests Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5

The latest HTC One Max leak has surfaced. This one is coming out of China and has details showing the One Max will arrive running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense v5.5. The specs were shared on the Chinese language mobile.3g.cn and aside from the regular rundown, they also suggest the One Max will not have the fingerprint scanner as was previously rumored.

The HTC One Max phablet is coming, and it is coming soon. It's no secret at this point that HTC has a large 5.9-inch smartphone in the works to take on the bigger competition, but one question has been whether or not we'll get a stylus with it. For some it doesn't matter, for other Galaxy Note and Note II users a stylus is critical. And now our latest leaked image could be hiding exactly that.

HTC One Max revealed in leaked photos

There's a trend these days to release several editions of a new flagship smartphone to capitalize on the new brand. Samsung has release a number of variations of its latest Galaxy S4 and HTC has similarly launched a smaller version of its HTC One, the HTC One Mini, as well as different colors available only in select markets. It seems that HTC is not yet done with its iteration and is preparing to pack its flagship in a bigger package.
