Meizu M9 (iPhone Clone) ROM ported to HTC EVO 4G

It's come to my attention that quite a few people didn't quite know what the Meizu M9 was, first of all, so lemme quick explain it. It's a Chinese phone that's basically a clone of the iPhone, but made with an Android OS. Simple, right? Here's where it gets weird. Now that clone has been re-cloned (at least its insides) into a ROM and has been ported to the HTC EVO 4G. Why would someone do that? Because they COULD do that, that's why.

HTC EVO 4G Video Ad Modified to Add Shift

You've seen it, right? That commercial with the gigantic text sitting around in a Madonna's "Frozen" landscape, a little Android character zooming around via its foot cannons. That's the one. That commercial is being re-released to the world with one addition: HTC EVO Shift 4G plopped down at the tail end. Looks cute!

HTC EVO Shift 4G gets early video hands-on by Wirefly

Wirefly want you to love the HTC EVO Shift 4G, and they want you to pre-order the WiMAX smartphone through them rather than direct from Sprint. The retailer has pushed out an early review of the EVO Shift 4G, complete with a ten minute video demo comparing it to its larger predecessor.
"The bottom line is that the HTC EVO Shift combines solid hardware with a fine display and the performance benefits of Android 2.2. If the EVO 4G was too big for you, or if you wanted a physical keyboard, the EVO Shift gives you smaller size and a physical keyboard in a well-engineered package." Wirefly
It's hardly an unsurprising conclusion - we could've told you the same thing just from seeing the various leaks - but the EVO Shift 4G is still likely to make an impression on would-be EVO 4G buyers who were holding out for a keyboard. It'll go on sale from January 9 2011, priced at $150. [youtube ZET2gMKAH2U]

HTC EVO 4G for Sprint Available in White Outside Best Buy

We know it's Monday, so hopefully you've been looking forward to some really good news. That is, if you've been eagerly anticipating the full retail release of the white variation of the HTC EVO 4G for Sprint. The device has been available for a little while now, but it's been only available as an exclusive release from Best Buy Mobile, and some people just don't like to get their phones there. So, Sprint has officially announced that the device will be made available in other locations, just in time for the holidays.

Sprint Releases $39.99 HDMI Dock for HTC EVO 4G

All black, rubber grip on the bottom, smooth glossy plastic around the top and the sides, and it connects to the EVO through BOTH the USB and HDMI (Type D) ports. At the back of the device, micro usb and HDMI (Type A) ports are located for connection to the computer or any other UDB or HDMI equipment you can think of such as a USB wall outlet or HDTV.

HTC Desire HD ROM Ported to Droid Incredible, Desire, and EVO 4G

Just a few days after the announcement of HTC Desire HD, we heard that the ROM has been extracted. Well we now have a followup of the happenings between then and now. The developers behind the extract have not got it ip and running on the HTC Desire as well as the Droid Incredible and EVO 4G. They are still not perfect, missing camera support, WiFi and 4G, but they are definitely a start.

Sprint Epic 4G Available Now On Sprint

We told you about the deal on the Epic 4G yesterday, that you can get on Amazon. Today it is officially available through Sprint now. Drive on over to Sprint and see if they have one to check out. Don't forget you can get the EVO from Sprint also. Isn't it great we have so many Android options?

HTC EVO 4G for Sprint with Android 2.2 Now Rooted

That didn't take long at all. Not that it should have, considering the amount of work being put into rooting all the Android devices out there. Well, maybe not all of them -- just the good ones, right? In any event, it's just become known that the EVO, manufactured by HTC and Sprint's first 4G device, has just been rooted. And that means that the official Android 2.2 build for the handset has been cracked, and super user permission is now permitted.

HTC EVO 4G’s Car Upgrade Kit Now Available for $59.99
