Honeycomb Theme for CM7 gets you as close to Honeycomb as possible

Even though Android 3.0 Honeycomb was just released recently, and is a Tablet based OS. It hasn't stopped many of the developers at XDA from porting it to just about as many devices as possible. Here's just a few, Honeycomb port for Nexus One, or the HTC Desire Port, even the all popular EVO got a Honeycomb Port. For some wiping out all of their data and flashing a completely new ROM that may, or may not be fully functioning is out of the question. Luckily for you I have the easiest way to get some Honeycomb. (for CM7 users that is)

CyanogenMod 7 gets a beautiful Statusbar Pulldown Mod

With the ever so changing and continued development by the amazing TeamDouche Developers, CyanogenMod is always improving. They add things daily and push nightly builds for all you crack flashers like myself. With the quick development we at times run into issues where things like MOD's or Morphs don't work or are outdated. It's good they move so fast, but a bad thing for those that like to personalize their Android phone. Those that follow some of the pulldown status bar mod's for CM7 I'm sure you all know who @rorifree is. If not, he is the man behind this great looking MOD.

US Cellular offers buy one get five deal on Android

U.S. Cellular has announced a family sized buy one, get up to five free, deal on Android handsets and messaging phones. Customers who sign up for a two year US Cellular agreement and purchase a Samsung Mesermize (aka Galaxy S) for $99.99 can get up to five LG Optimus U smartphones free or one Samsung Messager Touch for $29.99 and get up to five Samsung Profiles for free. To sweeten the deal (as if it wasn't sweet enough), US Cellular is also offering a $100 Smartphone activation credit for every new line. There's even more benefit if customers add either their Primary Plus Plan or Belief Plan which offers phone upgrades after 18 months.
“These amazing deals are great for customers who want devices to fit their family’s wide variety of needs and lifestyles,” said Alan D. Ferber, executive vice president of operations for U.S. Cellular. “Busy parents will love how the cutting-edge Android-powered smartphones help them stay productive, and kids can stay entertained and connected with friends on the go. Many of our customers prefer texting over talking, so we also wanted to delight them with great deals on our messaging phones.”

Honeycomb gets ported to the HTC Desire

As we all know, the beauty of the Android system is that it's open source. That not only breeds a myriad of handsets powered by it, but since there's no big bad developer looking to sue for playing with the source code, it also means some pretty slick home-brew solutions to breathe new life in handsets that are starting to show their age. Witness this cool porting of Android 3 (Honeycomb) to the HTC Desire. No, it's not an amalgam of Ice Cream and Honeycomb, it's an early full on Honeycomb build. And it actually works ... sort of.

HTC Desire S [Hands On] [VIDEO]

We're here in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress 2011 and we've just been to the gigantic, historic, meteoric HTC event whereupon we experienced several brand new devices. One of these devices was the HTC Desire S, an Android handset which we did henceforth grab a hands on of for you. You'll recognize this phone as a Desire instantly, but note the unibody style, the single milled piece of aluminum that makes up the body. Really hot.

HTC Desire S adds front-facing camera, unibody style

HTC has officially announced the successor to the wildly popular Desire, the HTC Desire S. Still packing a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon processor, now Qualcomm's MSM8255, the Desire S adds a front-facing camera for video calls, together with Android 2.4 Gingerbread. There's also a refresh in terms of physical style, with the Desire S getting a unibody makeover leaving the whole handset a whole lot more purposeful. HTC Sense has gained a few new apps, such as Mirror which, as the name suggests, repurposes the front-facing camera for checking your appearance. The HTC Desire S will launch in mid Q2 2011, pricing to be announced. Vodafone UK has already confirmed to us that they will be ranging the smartphone. Press Release:
