HP Slate 21 unveiled with 21.5-inch display and Jelly Bean

We have seen Slate branded devices from HP and we have seen all-in-one desktop computer style devices from HP. As of today however, it looks like the company has merged the two lines with a uniquely sized system running Android. Specifically, this system will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, though we suspect the size of the device may be more important here.

Given HP had been pretty forthcoming in terms of details, this launch comes with little in terms of surprise. Basically, that is to say the 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet is now available and sitting priced at $169.99.

HP officially announced the Slate 7 tablet back in late February and at the time they were pretty forthcoming in terms of price and specs. The release details were not quite as complete, however HP did say the tablet would be available beginning in April. Well, it now looks like that release time has quietly been pushed up a few months. HP hasn't said anything specific, but the Slate 7 page on the HP website has been updated.
