Verizon Bringing VCast Video to Android on Monday

There was a tweet sent yesterday by Philadelphia-area VZW rep Sheldon Jones, that said Verizon will be bringing its VCast Video service to their Android smart phones starting Monday. This is great news for all you Verizon Android owners. Whether you have a Devour or an Incredible, all of their Androids should receive this service.

Altek Leo 14MP Android with HD video and optical zoom?

Ok I’ll be the first to say it, all these high megapixel cameras on cell phones are ridiculous and I love it. Altek announced the first 14 megapixel camera phone, it’s called the Leo and it could come equipped with Android. If this does in fact turn out to be an Android phone, it will without a doubt have the best camera available on any Android device, maybe even the best camera on any phone in general.

HP Compaq AirLife 100 specs revealed

This isn’t the first time that we have heard news about HP’s Compaq AirLife 100. This is an Android powered netbook that we have known about since MWC. It has finally passed through the FCC and now the full specs are now available.

Early BETA Of Fennec Available Now (Firefox mobile)

Like beta testing? The long awaited fennec browser for Android is finally here (kind of). This app was complied for the Droid but don’t feel left out if you don’t have a Droid. It’s slow and buggy on whatever Android device you install it on. It is something to play with so the download link and a few videos are after the break.

2.1 For The Droid TBD?

The other day we uncovered an official document form Verizon that outlined the 2.1 update for the Droid. This update was supposed to be send out today via OTA. Now it's has been delayed until further notice. The guys over at BGR acquired this screen shot that shows the update has been delayed. Droid users have been waiting on this day since it was announced and it looks like the wait continues. We Cliq users pretty much expected this, a Cliq update was sent out around a month ago then it was quickly pulled due to "technical difficulties" then when it finally came it bricked a few devices. It seems as though Motorola doesn't quite know how to administer updates to their Android devices and this needs to be addressed real soon. [via slashphone]
