Ice Cream Sandwich comes to the venerable HTC HD2

The HTC HD2 has long been a favorite of high-end hardware enthusiasts and modders. Though it launched with Windows Mobile 6.5 nearly two years ago, its hack-friendly architecture lets it see a release of pretty much every new Android operating system. Count the newest among the list: an intrepid modder has shoehorned Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onto the aging hardware. The ROM comes from "tytung", who's naturally a denizen of XDA-Developers.

EVO 4G Is The Best Selling Phone in Sprint’s History

This is no surprise, the EVO had the biggest opening day of any phone that has ever been offered by Sprint. There has been reports of this handset selling out everywhere from Sprint store’s, Radio Shack’s and even a few Best Buy locations. The EVO out sold both of the previous record holders, the Palm Pre and the Samsung Instinct.

Black HTC Desire comes to Orange UK, sells out

This has been a trend for HTC as of late. They have sold out of everything from Vodafone’s Nexus One, the HD2 and a few times with the desire. What’s going on with HTC, maybe they didn’t think their phones would be this popular? Orange has recently made the black HTC desire and it sold out almost as soon as it was available.

MyTouch Slide Gets Delayed?

Word around the web has pegged May 17th as the rumored release date. The new rumored release date is June 2nd. Neither of these days has been confirmed by T-Mobile or HTC so take this information with a few grains of salt.

Skyfire coming to Android

Skyfire is perhaps the best browser available for Windows Mobile devices. It’s my default browser on the HD2. This browser is fast, stable and has Flash support. Soon we will be able to enjoy this awesome browser on our Android handsets.

Blockbuster May Be Coming to Android

It’s no secret that Blockbuster has been in a lot of financial trouble lately. They have made a few changes to try and stay competitive. One of which is offering their services on mobile phone. The release of T-Mobile’s HD2 brought with it an app from Blockbuster that allows users to stream video right to their device. Blockbuster is now looking into expanding this to the Android platform.

HTC Supersonic Caught On Cam

Some lucky guy put together a quick first look at the upcoming HTC Supersonic. If you are not familiar with this Android device, it is slated to be the first WiMaxx/4G Android device to hit the US. This phone is set for a late spring or summer release this year for Sprint's 4G network. It joins the HTC HD2 in the 4.3 inch screen family but it stands alone with its WiMaxx capabilities.
