Notice any changes in Google Maps lately? Place Pages is a service that combined street view images with reviews and hours of operation for various destinations. You can even access these features right from your Android handsets browser. This service will help you and your friends pick the right place to dine or visit.

HTC Has To Pay Microsoft To Use Android?

This came completely out of left field. Microsoft made a few claims that HTC infringed on a few of their patents. HTC obviously agreed that they did and will now pay royalties to not only Google but Microsoft as well to use Android on their handsets.

Two Dragons From LG in Korea

We’re all aware of the existence of the LG LU2300, aka the Aloha when it comes to the US. LG has released another Snapdragon powered Android device in Korea, the LG KU9500/SU950. These handsets have a few things in common but unlike the 2300 the 9500 is an all touch screen device.

Orange “Boston” Android phone revealed

There have been rumors floating around that certain European carriers are working on their own Android handsets. Vodafone was rumored to be working on their own phone, looks like Orange has beaten them to the punch. The Boston will be released first and for the low price of 1 euro.

Motorola 2.1 Updates Outlined

This is good news for most Moto Android users and not so much for others. This document was found on Motorola website and it lists when the 2.1 update will be pushed out to all of their current Android handsets. From the sheet, the Droid OTA’s is currently in the process and there is more after the break.

Samsung Galaxy S hanging out at the FCC

This is good news and bad news. The Galaxy S is one of the most powerful Android handsets to be released in the near future. It will most likely be the phone to have for gaming, as it stands it has the best GPU out of all the current Androids and every other handset. Time for the bad news, it passed through the FCC with AT&T 3G bands.

Skyfire coming to Android

Skyfire is perhaps the best browser available for Windows Mobile devices. It’s my default browser on the HD2. This browser is fast, stable and has Flash support. Soon we will be able to enjoy this awesome browser on our Android handsets.

SlashGear Reviews The X10

Another Android best has been handled by our friends from Slashgear. Earlier today they brought us one of the first unboxing of the highly anticipated HTC Desire. This time around, they are one of the first to review of the equally anticipated Sony Xperia X10. We’ve known, and wanted, this phone since around last October. Since then there has been multiple powerful Android handsets announced for release this year. So is it too little to for Sony or will this be their knight in shining armor.
