Timehop app hands-on: providing a daily trip back in time

Timehop, as a service, has been around for many years now. But given the app just recently arrived in the Play Store, it may be one that flew under the radar of many Android users. The premise here is simple, Timehop takes you back in time. The app is one that you'll only need to launch once per day, and it will show you what you were doing one, two, three and four years earlier.

HTC One (M8) Dot View case hands-on

Along with the phone itself, HTC also unveiled some accessories for the One (M8). We've seen a variety including a Car Kit, Battery Bar and BoomBass. Not to mention, there were a few case options being shown including the fairly standard Flip Case and the multicolored Double Dip case. Perhaps the most interesting of the bunch is this last though, the HTC Dot View case.

HTC One (M8): hands-on and first-impressions

The HTC One (M8) has been officially unveiled. This means the rumors and leaks will be coming to an end. But perhaps more important here -- it means we are finally going to be able to put the handset to the test. We are curious to see how it stands up in comparison to the previous year HTC One. And we are also curious to see how well it stands up against the other recently announced flagship -- the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Acer Android AIO TA272HUL: hands-on and first-impressions

Acer originally unveiled the TA272HUL Android All-in-One back in January. The announcement arrived during CES. More to the point for today -- Acer recently provided us with a unit for review. We have to admit that having Android (in this case 4.2 Jelly Bean with the Play Store) running on a 27-inch display seems a bit crazy. We'll likely have more to say as we get deeper into the review, but for now we wanted to share some images and some first impression style thoughts.

The Android Community Team: what we’re playing

We are introducing a new series of posts this weekend. As you'll see from the title, these will be of the "what we're" style. First up is gaming, which only seemed fitting as the Games Developers Conference just came to a close. Having said that, this series of posts will highlight a new category each week, and you'll be seeing them hit the site on the weekend when news is slow and we have a bit more time for fun and discussion.

Minuum keyboard hands-on

The Minuum keyboard isn't new, however we did see the v2.0 release arrive in the Play Store earlier this morning. This latest release not only had the keyboard officially exiting the beta period, but it also brought a 30-day trial version for those not yet ready to fully commit. Minuum regularly sells for $3.99, so having a free trial available seems like a solid perk.

LG G Pro 2: improving selfies with “Flash for Selfie”

Taking selfies, much less taking selfies for work purposes is something I never thought I would be doing. But, thanks to LG and a new feature called "Flash for Selfie" -- here I am. Flash for Selfie is one of the highlight features found on the LG G Pro 2, and also the latest in our ongoing series of posts covering the handset.

LG G Pro 2: hands-on with Dual Browser

Next up in our extended look at the LG G Pro 2 -- the Dual Browser mode. This one is simple, but at the same time, really nice to have with such a large display. As a refresher, the LG G Pro 2 sports a 5.9-inch display. A 1080p at that. But regardless of the resolution, it can sometimes be convenient to run two apps at the same time.
