Google Glass tries to wedge itself firmly into our daily lives -- and we look for a reason to have it there -- news of a California woman receiving a ticket while driving with the headset is less than favorable. Cecilia Abadie was ticketed for going 80mph in a 65mph zone, which can’t quite be argued. What is debatable is that she was also cited for wearing Google Glass.

TeleNav has rolled out the latest Scout for Android update. This update has already arrived in the Google Play Store and has brought some new features that deal with social and sharing. Or in other words, this update seems to have made it easier to coordinate and share your location and trip details with friends using a feature called OnMyWay.

Regardless of the location of those discussions though, it seems the issues are similar for many users. Basically, the GPS will be working and tracking as expected and then suddenly stop.
Garmin has officially announced the Monterra and while this handheld device has the looks of a smartphone, it is actually a handheld outdoor GPS unit. The interesting part is that the Monterra is running Android. Garmin has said this is their first WiFi-enabled outdoor handheld GPS with Android. Being an Android device, the Monterra will have access to the Play Store, however putting that aside, there are some outdoor specific features that may be a bit more important for some users.
string of Waze rumors, an acquisition has been officially announced this morning. Google has acquired Waze and while they choose not to say anything in terms of the dollar amount, there does appear to be a bit of good news for both Waze and Google Maps users. Basically, it looks like each side will be getting new features from the other.
