AT&T adds more data, hotspot feature to GoPhone plans

AT&T has introduced more data for some GoPhone plans, following in the footsteps of rival T-Mobile. The updated data scheme doesn’t raise cost for consumers, either, as all plan pricing stays as-is. In addition to the new data plans, AT&T is rolling out a new basic phone plan at $45/month.

AT&T GoPhone prepaid plans updated

AT&T had announced some updated GoPhone plans earlier in the month and as was expected, those plans have since come available. The carrier has updated the basic/quick messaging plans, however the focus here will be on the smartphone plans -- of which there is now two new options available.

AT&T GoPhone prepaid plans set to change on June 20

AT&T recently announced some changes for GoPhone users and it looks like some additional changes will be coming later in the month. The previous change added support for HSPA+ and LTE network connectivity (provided the user has a compatible handset) and this latest will be switching up the available plans. AT&T has yet to reveal all the specifics, however they have said the GoPhone plans will be changing on June 20th.

AT&T GoPhone users can now get HSPA+ and LTE speeds

Beginning today, AT&T GoPhone users can now get access to 4G speeds. This includes AT&T's HSPA+ and LTE networks, though it is provided the user has a supported handset. For now AT&T appears to have this aimed at those who already have a capable device and simply want to avoid signing a contract on something new. These new speeds are available at this time and will be available with the $65, $50 or $25 per month plans.
