AdBlock Plus and Android 4.2.2 don’t mix well
There has been some concern over AdBlock Plus and how automatically redirects your phone's proxy to a localhost to block ads. This led to a bigger issue of a large security hole inside of the Android operating system. Even if a smartphone isn't rooted, apps could use this security bug for phishing. The developer of AdBlock Plus proposed a few resolutions for the issue that would both fix the security hole, and also allow the AdBlock Plus app to keep working.

Apple Store gains trademark while Google remains in the cloud
While Google seems intent on remaining in the cloud in terms of device sales, one thing has recently been made clear -- should they decide to go the retail route with stores of their own, they should not have them looking like an Apple Store. The reasoning here, Apple has recently been granted an official US trademark (from the USPTO) for their retail stores.

Chrome Beta for Android found to be hiding a full-screen browsing mode
It seems Google may have hidden a full-screen browsing mode in the latest Chrome Beta release. Though, before anyone thinks of switching to the beta -- we should point out that this seems to be more of an unintentional discovery at this point. Simply put, the latest Chrome Beta can enter a full-screen browsing mode, however there are a few things that need to be done in order to make it work. Not to mention, there are some glitches when returning after you have closed the app.

Apple cuts 500px from App Store – Android may be next
Apple recently pulled the 500px app from the iOS App Store and while it may be easy for Android users to casually sit back and watch, it appears as if the app may also be breaking the rules in the Google Play Store. We would hate to see the app pulled and we are certainly not the ones that will be making the decision, however according to Google, they "don't allow content that contains nudity" in the store. Well, let us just say that you can find nude images rather quickly and easily using the 500px app.

Temple Run 2 reminds developers: “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it”
The Google Play Store is loaded with games. Without calling out any specifics, there are many that are not so good - and some that are really, really good. Everything from casual games to more in depth games such as Dead Trigger and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. But for the focus here, lets concentrate on the casual games. A few of the top developers in this realm include Imangi Studios, Rovio Mobile, Halfbrick Studios and Zepto Lab.
