I'm sure we have all downloaded some cool apps before only to find that they have services that run in the background constantly and run your battery down. If you want to keep those cool apps, but kill the services to save your battery, Servicely may be the app for you. One big downside to the app for some users is that it requires root access to your device.

LED Music Effect app gives you shiny lights

A new app update has turned up on Google Play that gives you something shiny to look at while you play your favorite music. The app is called LED Music Effect and requires root access to work. The app creates blinking LED lights with three colors while your music plays.

Sick Bricks looks like a Lego game

If you are a fan of the blocky Lego video games, you might get a kick out of a new game called Sick Bricks. This game app has nothing to do with Lego officially, but we will all recognize the blocks as soon as you see the game. The story has players playing as Jack Justice as he tries to return Sick City back to its former glory.

The company has been tracking the app ecosystem but the mobile industry continues to grow not only in the US but also in other countries. Someone...err, something is turning a year older. It's Google Play's 3rd birthday and Google wants us to join the celebration by holding a special sale for all the Android lovers. Sony unveils SmartEyeglass Developer Edition SED-E1 in UK and Germany

Sony has trotted out a new set of smart glasses to take on Google Glass called the SmartEyeglasses Developer Edition SED-E1. Pre-orders for the glasses have kicked off today in the UK and Germany where they will first launch. The SED-E1 glasses are transparent lens eyewear that connects to compatible smartphones and overlays various information on the wearer's field of view.

It was only last week that the Nexus 9 was released in sand color and the LTE version was made available by T-Mobile last December after being delayed for some time. All good news and more as Google is finally bringing the Android tablet in Taiwan and New Zealand. That's two different countries so more people will be happy to learn that the Nexus 9 is now available in their countries. Those people in these regions can easily visit the Play Store and order the Nexus 9, as well as, the Chromecast.
