Google tweaks Play store policies blocking external app updates
Google made changes to its Play store policies this week that are aimed at preventing applications from updating without going through the official Google approved methods. The change in Google Play policies comes after Facebook offered a direct update for its Facebook Home social homescreen rather than going through Google Play for the update. Clearly, Google didn't appreciate that.

If you're a fan of Sunday comics in your local paper, you might want to check out a new app from GoComics that is available for Android now. GoComics previously offered access to digital versions of some the comic strips printed in newspapers around the country via its website.

Google+ sign-in process adopted by Janrain and Gigya
Google+ sign-in was announced a short while back. You have likely seen a few examples of this on sites, however for those who may have missed it, Google+ sign-in is not all that different from what we have seen with Facebook and Twitter. That is to say, you can use Google+ to sign into an app or service. This generally makes the sign-up process easier as it takes details from your Google account.

Symantec details Google Play Store one-click billing fraud
The latest Google Play Store horror story seems to have arrived. Symantec has recently begun to share details of a one-click billing scam. The silver lining here, this issue does not appear like it will affect all that many. You see, while serious, there are only roughly 200 apps that seem to be included. Not to mention, they appear to be limited to Japan. Of course, this should give a bit of caution for users elsewhere though.

My Purchases makes it easy to see your Google Play purchase history
One of the things that can be a pain to do when you upgrade your Android device is to be sure you've downloaded all of your apps from your old device.
