Google Play Store enters day three of 25 cent sale
Day three of Google Play's 25 cent app sale has kicked off, bringing a new round of discounted apps and games with it. We already saw some great deals on day one and day two, and there isn't any lack of them today either. The sale will go on for five days in all, and is a celebration of Google Play recently hitting the 25 billion downloads milestone.

Google I/O was filled with a lot of announcements this year, but one of the announcements aimed solely at Android developers was the reveal of Google Play services. In a nutshell, Google Play services allows app developers to integrate other Google services, like Google Plus, into their apps. Today, Google rolled out version 1.0 of Google Play services, inviting developers to get to coding.

Back in June during Google IO we heard about an upcoming feature to the Google Play Store that would make users and carriers alike extremely happy. This was called smart app updates. Essentially how this works is when you get an update the Play Store will only download the new bits, rather than the entire application again.

Move over iTunes, Google Play is getting gift cards too. Late last night Google started rolling out their new Google Play Store to smartphones and tablets everywhere, and users quickly noticed that hiding beneath the pretty user interface was proof that we will soon have gift cards and even wishlist options in the Play Store. This is something iTunes has had for years, and I've been dying to see on Android.
